BE it remembered, that on the thirtieth day of October, A. D. 1828, in the fifty third year of the Independence of the United States of America, Hosea Ballou, 2d, of the said district, has deposited in this Office the title of a book, the right whereof he claims as proprietor, in the words following, to wit:

"The Ancient History of Universalism: from the time of the Apostles, to its condemnation in the Fifth General Council A. D. 553. With an Appendix, tracing the doctrine down to the era of the Reformaion. By Hosea Ballou, 2d, Pastor of the Universalist Church and Soety in Roxbury."

In conformity to the act of the Congress of the U. States, entitled "an act for the encouragement of learning, by securing the copies of maps, charts, and books, to the authors and proprietors of such copies during the times therein mentioned:" and also an act, entitled " act supplementary to an act, entitled, an act for the encouragement of learning, by securing the copies of maps, charts, and books to the authors and proprietors of such copies during the times therein mentioned; and extending the benefits thereof to the arts of designing, engraving, and etching historical and other prints."
