12 Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jefus, and bound him,

13 And led him away to Annas firft; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that fame year. 14 Now Caiaphas was he, which gave counfel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.

15 And Simon Peter followed Jefus, and fo did another difciple; that difciple was known unto the high priest, and went in with Jefus into the palace of the high priest.

IG But Peter stood at the door without. Then went out that other difciple, which was known unto the high priest, and fpake unto her that kept the door, and brought in Peter.

17 Then faith the damfel that kept the door unto Peter, Art not thou also one of this man's difciples? He faith I am not. 18 And the fervants and officers ftood there, who had made a fire of coals: for it was cold and they warmed them felves and Peter ftood with them, and warmed himself.

19 The high priest then asked Jefus of his difciples, and of his doctrine.

So They answered and faid unto him, If he were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered him up unto thee.

31 Then faid Pilate unto them, Take ye him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore faid unto him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death:

32 That the faying of Jefus might be fulfilled, which he fpake, fignifying what death he should die

53 Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jefus, and faid unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews?

31 Jefus anfwered him, Sayeft thou this thing of thy felt, or did others tellit thee of nie?

$5 Pilate anfwered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: What haft thou done?

36 Jefus anfwered, My kingdom is not of this world; if my kingdom were of this world, then would my fervants fight, that I would not be delivered to the Jews; but now is my kingdom nut from hence.

37 Pilate therefore faid unto him. Art thou a king then ? Jefus answered, Thou 20 Jefus anfwered him, 1 fpake open-fayeft that I am a king. 24 Now Annas had fent him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest.

25 And Simon Peter stood and warmed himfelf. They faid therefore unto him, Art not thou alfo one of his difciples ? He denied it, and faid, I am not.

40 Then cried they ail again, faying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.

7 The Jews anfwered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.

28 Then the foldiers, when they had crucified Jefus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every foldier a part; and alfo bis coat: now the coat was without feam, woven from the top throughout.

24 They faid therefore among themfelves, Let us not rend it, but caft lots for it, whofe it shall be that the fcripture might be fulfilled, which faith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vefture they did caft lots. The fe things therefore the foldiers did.

11 Jefus anfwered, Thou couldeft have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater fin.

12 And from thenceforth Pilate fought to release him: but the Jews cried out, faying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Cefar's friend whofoever maketh himfelf a king, fpeaketh against Cefar.

13 When Pilate therefore heard that faying, he brought Jefus forth, and fat down in the judgment feat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha.

:

27 Then faith he to the difciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that difciple took her unto his own bome.

28 After this, Jefus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the fcripture might be fulfilled, faith, I thirst.

29 Now there was fet a veffel full of vinegar: and they filled a fponge with vinegar, and put it upon hyffop, and put it to his mouth.

15 But they cried out, Away with bim, away with him, crucify him. Pilate faith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests anfwered, We have no king but Cefar.

18 Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jefus, and led him away.

17 And he bearing his crofs went forth into a place called the place of a fkull, which is called in the Hebrew, Golgotha; 18 Where they crucified him, and two others with him, on either fide one, and Jefus in the midft.

19 And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the crofs. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.

32 Then came the foldiers, and brake the legs of the firft, and of the other which was crucified with him.

33 But when they came to Jefus, and faw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs :

34 But one of the foldiers with a fpear pierced his fide, and forthwith came there out blood and water.

35 And he that faw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he faith true, that ye might believe.

36 For these things were done, that the fcripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him thall not be broken.

37 And again another fcripture faith, They fhall look on him whom they pierced.

5 And he tooping down, and looking in, faw the linen clothes lying; yet

went he not in.

6 Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the fepulchre, and feeth the linen clothes lie;

9 For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he ineft rife again from the dead. 10 Then the difciples went away again unto their own home.

16 Jefus faith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and faith unto him, Rabboni; which is to fay, Malter.

17 Jefus faith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet afcended to my Father, but go to my brethren, and fay unto them, I afcend unto my Father, and your Fa ther; and to my God, and your God.

18 Mary Magdalene came and told the difciples that he had feen the Lord, and that he had spoken thele things unto her.

19 Then the fame day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were fhut where the difciples were affembled for fear of the Jews, came Jefus and stood in the midst, and faith unto them, Peace be unto you.

20 And when he had to faid, he thewed unto them bis hands and his fide. Thea were the difciples glad, when they faw the Lord.

22 And when he had faid this, he breathed on them, and faith unto them, Receive ye the Holy_Ghost :

23 Whofe foever fins ye remit, they are remitted unto them, and whose foever uns ye retain, they are retained.

24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jefus came.

25 The other difciples therefore faid unto him, We have feen the Lord. But he faid unto them, Except I shall fee in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his fide, 1 will not believe.

26 And after eight days again his difciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jefus, the doors being fhut, and flood in the midft, and fad, Peace be unto you.

28 And Thomas anfwered and faid unto him, My Lord and my God.

29 Jefus faith unto him, Thomas, be caufe thou hast seen me, thou haft believed: blessed are they that have not feen, and yet have believed.
