18 26 Luke And they that heard it, said, Who then can be saved? Mar. And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?

Mat. When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?

Mat. But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them,

With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.

Mar. And Jesus looking upon them, saith,

With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.

27 Luke And he said,

The things which are impossible with men, are possible with God.

28 Luke Then Peter said,

Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.
Mar. Then Peter began to say unto him,

Lo, we have left all, and haye followed thee,
Mat. Then answered Peter, and said unto him,

Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee;
What shall we have therefore?
Mat. And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you,
that ye which have followed me in the regeneration,
when the Son of man shall sit on the throne of his
glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging
the twelve tribes of Israel.

Mar. And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you,
There is no man that hath left house,

Or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mo-
ther, or wife,

Or children, or lands, for my sake and
the gospel's,

29 Luke And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you,
There is no man that hath left house,

Or parents, or brethren, or wife,

Or children, for the kingdom of God's
sake,

And every one that hath forsaken houses,
Or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother,
or wife,

Or children, or lands, for my name's

Mat. Shall receive an hundred fold,

And shall inherit everlasting life.

Mar. But he shall receive an hundred fold now in this ime, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions;

And in the world to come eternal life.

30 Luke Who shall not receive manifold more in this present

time,

And in the world to come everlasting life.
Mar. But many that are first shall be last, and the last first.
Mat. But many that are first shall be last, and the last shall

be first.

Mat. For the kingdom of heaven, &c. to verse 17.

Mar. And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus went before them;

And they were amazed, and as they followed they were afraid.

Mat. And Jesus going up to Jerusalem,

Mat. Took the twelve disciples apart in the way,
And said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jeru-
salem,

Mar. And he took again the twelve, and began to tell
them what things should happen unto him,
Saying, Behold we go up to Jerusalem.

18 3 Luke Then he took unto him the twelve,

And said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem,

Luke And all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.

Mar. And the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes :

And they shall condemn him to death.

Mat. And the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes,

And they shall condemn him to death.

Mat. And shall deliver him to the Gentiles,

To mock, and to scourge, and to crucify bim: Mar. And shall deliver him to the Gentiles;

And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him. 32 Luke For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, And shall be mocked, and spitefully intreated, and spitted on; And they shall scourge him, and put him to death:

Mat. And the third day he shall rise again.
Mar. And the third day he shall rise again.

34 Luke And they understood none of these things; and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.

Mat. Then came to him the mother of Zebedee's children, with her sons,

Worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.

Mar. And James and John the sons of Zebedee come unto him,

Saying, Master, we would that thou shouldst do for us whatsoever we shall desire.

Mar. And he said unto them, What would ye that I should

do for you?

Mat. And he said unto her, What wilt thou?

Mat. She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit,

Mat.

The one on thy right hand, and the other op the left in thy kingdom.

Mar, They said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, One on thy right hand, and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory.

Mat. But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye
lask.

Mar. But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask:
Mar. Can ye drink of the cup that I drink of?

And be baptised with the baptism that I am bap-
tised with?

Mat. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, And to be baptised with the baptism that I am baptised with?

Mat. They say unto him, We are able.

Mar. And they said unto him, We can.

Mar. And Jesus said unto them, Ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of;

And with the baptism that I am baptised withal shall ye be baptised.

Mat. And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup,

And be baptised with the baptism that I am baptised with.

Mat. But to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give,

But it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

Mar. But to sit on my right hand, and on my left hand, is not mine to give,

But it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared.

Mar. And when the ten heard it, they began to be much displeased with James and John.

Mat. And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.

Mat. But Jesus called them unto him, and said,

Mar. But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Mar. Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles, exercise lordship over them;

And their great ones exercise authority upon

them.

Mat, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them,

But it shall not be so among you:

But whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister.

Mar. But so shall it not be among you:

But whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister:

Mar. And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be

servant of all.

Mat. Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, out to minister,

Mar. And they came to Jericho :

Mar. And as he went out of Jericho with his disciples, and a great number of people,

Blind Bartimeus, the son of Timeus, sat by the highway side, begging.

Mat. And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.

And behold two blind men sitting by the way-side, 18 35 Luke And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho,

A certain blind man sat by the way-side beg

ging,

36 Luke And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it 37 meant. And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.

38 Luke And he cried, saying,

Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. Mar. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, The began to cry out,

And say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy

on me.

Mat. When they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out,
Saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of
David.

Mat. And the multitude rebuked them, because they
should hold their peace.

Mar. And many charged him, that he should hold his

peace.

39 Luke And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace.

Luke But he cried so much the more,

Thou Son of David, have mercy on me,

Mar. But he cried the more a great deal,

Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

Mat. Bat they cried the, more, saying,

Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of Da

vid.

Mat. And Jesus stood still, and called them.

40 Luke And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought

Junto him.

Mar. And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be

called.

Mar. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee. And he casting away his garment, rose and came to Jesus.

Mar. And Jesus answered and said unto him,

What wilt thou that I should do unto thee?

Luke And when he was come near, he asked him, saying,

What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? Mat. And said,

What will ye that I shall do unto you? Mat. They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.

Mar. The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.

Luke And he said, Lord, that I may receive my

sight.

Mat. So Jesus had compassion on them, and touch

led their eyes.

Mar. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way, thy faith hath made thee whole.

Luke And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight, thy faith hath saved thee.

Mat. And immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him,

Mar. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

Luke And immediately he received his sight and folflowed him.

Luke Glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.

At the mount called the mount of Olives,
he sent two of his disciples, Saying,
And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto
Bethphage and Bethany,

At the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth
two of his disciples, And saith unto

them,

Mat. And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage,

Unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus

two disciples, Saying unto them,

Luke Go ye into the village over against you, in the which at your entering
