ing, Confcience and Will, thy fenfual affections and defires; and thy whole outward man may be put into, and kept in a good order and frame; that the fear of God may dwell in thine heart continually, and his Law be written in thy inward man. Look to the bent and frame of the he art, that it be right towards God. If thy heart be once ordered aright, thou wilt look that thy outward converfation be ordered aright alfo. Let it appear therefore thou art a living member of Chrift, by being a new Creature, by unliving, and undoing thy former finful course. Live not henceforth in any known fin, but fpeedily forfake, whatever thou knoweft to be evil, and difpleafing unto God any kind of way. Labour to teftifie the fincerity of thy repentance and Faith, by an holy life, and an unblameable Converfation. Set thy felf in good earnest to walk religiously and holily before God, righteously and uprightly before men, and foberly and temperatly in the Government of thy felf.

Let it be thy daily exercife (with Paul) to keep a good Canfcience, void of offence, towards God, and towards man. Be careful of the duties both of the firft, and fecond Table. And read often and carefully obferve our Saviours Sermon in the Mount, contained in the fifth, fixth, and seventh Chapters of Matthew. In fumme, beg a continual fupply of ftrength, from the fanctifying Spirit of Chrift, that though thou

art to wrefle, not only against flesh and blood, but against Principalities, and powers, and : fpiritual wickedneffes, and against manifold temptations from the world, yet notwithstanding (through the aides of Grace) the regenerate part in thee may overcome, and that thou maift grow in Grace, and be daily perfecting holineffe in the fear of God.

2 Cor. 5.17: Therefore if any man be in Chrift, he is a new Creature, old things are paft away, bebold, all things are become new.

11 Cor 6.11. And fuch were fome of you, but ye are washed, but ye are fanctified, but ye are juftified in the Name of the Lord Fefus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Eph.4.22. That ye put off, concerning the former Converfation, the old man, which is corrupt, according to the deceitful lufts

V.23. And be renewed in the Spirit of your mind.

V.24. And that ye put on that new man, which after God is created in righteousneffe and true holineffe. Rom.6.5. For if we have been planted together in the likeneffe of his death: we still be also in the likeneffe of his refurrection.

V.14. For fin fhall not have dominion over you, for ye are not under the Law, but under Grace. 1 John.3.8. Chap. 1. V.34. And they that are Chrifts have crucified the flesh, with the affections, and lufts. Phil.2.15. That ye may be blamelesse, and barmleffe, the fons of God without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverfe Nation, among whom ye fhine as Lights in the world.
