WOODWORTH. L. M.

WILLIAM B. BRADBURY

1 Just as I am, with - out one plea, But that Thy blood was shed for me.

+6

And that Thou bid'st me come to Thee,

O Lamb of God, I come! I come!

2 Just as I am, and waiting not

To rid my soul of one dark blot,

4 O voice of mercy! voice of love! In conflict, grief, and agony,

To Thee whose blood can cleanse each spot, Support me, cheer me from above!

O Lamb of God, I come!

3 Just as I am, though tossed about With many a conflict, many a doubt, Fightings within, and fears without,

O Lamb of God, I come!

4 Just as I am-Thou wilt receive, Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve; Because Thy promise I believe,

O Lamb of God, I come!

5 Just as I am-Thy love unknown
Hath broken every barrier down;
Now, to be Thine, yea, Thine alone,
O Lamb of God, I come!

2 Lo! such the child whose early feet
The paths of peace have trod;
Whose secret heart, with influence sweet,
Is upward drawn to God.

3 By cool Siloam's shady rill
The lily must decay;

The rose that blooms beneath the hill
Must shortly fade away.

4 O Thou, whose infant feet were found
Within Thy Father's shrine,
Whose years, with changeless virtue crown'd
Were all alike divine!

5 Dependent on Thy bounteous breath,
We seek Thy grace alone

In childhood, manhood, age and death,
To keep us still Thine own.

1 See, Israel's gentle Shepherd stands,
With all engaging charms!

Hark! how He calls the tender lambs,
And folds them in His arms!

2 "Permit them to approach," He cries,
"Nor scorn their humble name;
For 'twas to bless such souls as these,
The Lord of angels came."

1 O Lord, and will Thy pardoning love
Embrace a wretch so vile?

Wilt Thou my load of guilt remove,
And bless me with Thy smile?

2 Hast Thou the cross for me endured,
And all the shame despised?
And shall I be ashamed, O Lord,
With Thee to be baptized?

3 Didst Thou the great example lead,
In Jordan's swelling flood?
And shall my pride disdain the deed
That's worthy of my God?

3 We bring them, Lord, in thankful hands, 4 O Lord, the ardor of Thy love

And yield them up to Thee;

Joyful that we ourselves are Thine,

Thine let our offspring be.

Philip Doddridge.

Reproves my cold delays;

And now my willing footsteps move
In Thy delightful ways.

John Fellows.
