Besides the aid which the Clergy and other Members of the Society have continued most kindly to render in their respective circles and neighbourhoods, several Clergymen have travelled into different parts of the kingdom in behalf of the Society.

The Rev. Henry Davies, of Bombay, continued through the year, till his return to India, in March, those friendly services on which he had entered previously to the last Anniversary. After preaching, in the latter half of May, at various places in the vicinity of Hereford, he accompanied the Assistant Secretary to York and Hull; and, in the first part of July, attended, together with the Rev. Daniel Wilson, the Anniversaries of the Selby, Doncaster, Sheffield, Rotherham, Leeds, and Knaresborough Associations. In August and September, he attended those of the Derbyshire, Birmingham, Tamworth, Berkshire, and Shropshire; the formation of the Chester and Cheshire; and the Meetings at Liverpool and Manchester; with the Anniversary of the North Staffordshire, at Newcastle. At the end of October, he assisted at the Norfolk and Norwich Anniversary; in November, at Chichester, Huddersfield, and Leicester; and in January, at Bath and Gloucester and closed this series of efficient labours,

and other Missionaries to their labours, but of those whom he addressed at various Meetings both in London and in the country. At Reading, Saffron Walden, Ipswich, Exeter, Teignmouth, Torquay, Plymouth Dock, Wellington, Weymouth, Norwich, Cambridge, Leicester, and other places, he has left an impression of the goodness of God to the Liberated Negroes of Sierra Leone, which will not soon be effaced.

Several of the Society's Missionaries about to proIceed to India, have also assisted in this work. The Rev. Benedict La Roche attended the Bath and the Gloucestershire Anniversaries; the Rev. Thomas Morris, those of Shropshire and Leicestershire; and the Rev. John Perowne, those of Suffolk, Devon and Exeter, and Plymouth Dock and Stonehouse, and the formation of the Associations at Wellington and at Weymouth.

Dr. Thorpe, to allow them to place their names in the same List of the Society's Benefactors.

ASSOCIATIONS.

An Association was formed on the 30th of September, for the City and County of Chester, the Right Hon. the Earl of Rocksavage in the Chair, with a promise of great activity, though some circumstances had appeared unfavourable this Association has already contributed, in addition to nearly 3001. before raised at Latchford, in the same county, upward of 500l. Associations have also been formed, during the year, at Dudley, in Worcestershire; at Yeovil and at Wellington, in Somersetshire; at Weymouth, for Weymouth and Melcombe Regis; and at Wakefield. Ladies' Associations have been established at Hull, in aid of the Hull and East-Riding Association; and, at Stonehouse, in connection with that of Plymouth Dock and Stonehouse. Branch Associations have been formed at Sudbury, in aid of the Suffolk; at Melbourne, in aid of the Derbyshire; at Torquay and at Dawlish, in aid of the Devon and Exeter; and at Whittington, in aid of the Shropshire.

The Associations before in action have continued, and in various instances enlarged, their exertions and contributions and in many places, where regular Associations have not yet been formed, individuals have made collections, which amount, in the aggregate, to a considerable sum.

The Committee subjoin Lists, both of such Contributions by Associations and Collections by Individuals, as have amounted to 107. and upward.
