The Epifle. 1 John v. 4.

W WHATSOEVER is born of and this is the victory that over: cometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jefus is the Son of God! This is he that came by water and blood, even Jetus Chrift; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witnefs, becaufe. the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Fathe the Word, and the Holy Ghoft: and thefe three are one. And there are three that bear witnefs in earth, the fpirit, and the water, and the blood: and thefe three agree in one. It we receive the witnefs of men, the witnefs of God is greater: for this is the witnefs of God, which he hath teftified of his Sun. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son, hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God, hath not life.
