We have left undone those things which we ought to have done; And we have done those things which we ought not to have done; And there is no health in us. But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us, miferable of fenders: Spare thou them, O God, which confess their faults: Reftore thou them that are penitent; According to thy promises declared unto mankind in Chrift Jefu our Lord. And grant, O most merciful Father, for his fake, That we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and fober life, To the glory of thy holy Name. Amen.

The Absolution, or Remisfion of Sins, to be pronounced by the Priest alone, standing; the People stili kneeling.

LMIGHTY God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Chrift, who defireth not the death of a finner, but rather that he may turn from his wickedness and live; and hath given power and commandment to his minifters, to declare and pronounce to his people, being penitent, the Abfolution and remiffion of their fins: He pardoneth and abfolveth all them that truly repent, and unfeignedly believe his holy Gofpel. Wherefore let us befeech him to grant us true repentance, and his Holy Spirit; that those things may pleate him which we do at this present, and that the reft of our life hereafter may be pure and holy; se that at the last we may come to his eternal joy, through Jesus Chrift our Lord.

The People shall answer here, and at the end of all other Prayers,

Anfw. The Lord's Name be praised. Then shall be faid or fung this Pfalm following, except Eafter-day, upon which another Anthem is appointed; and on the Nineteenth day of every Month it is not to be read here, but in the ordinary course of the Pfalms.

Venite, exultemus Domino. COME, let us fing unto the Lord: let us heartily rejoice in the strength of our falvation. Let us come before his prefence with thankigiving: and shew ourselves glad in him with plalms.

For the Lord is a great God:

and a great King above all gods.

In his hand are all the corners of the earth and the strength of the hills is his alfo.

The fea is his, and he made it and his hand prepared the dry land.

O come, let us worship, and fall down: and kneel before the Lord our Maker.

For he is the Lord our God: and we are the people of his pafture, and the flieep of his hand.

All the earth doth worship thee the Father everlasting.

To thee all angels cry aloud: the Heavens, and all the Powers therein.

To thee Cherubin and Seraphin continually do cry,

The Father of an infinite

Thou art the everlasting Son: of the Father.

When thou tookest upon thee to deliver man thou didft not abhor the Virgin's womb.

When thou hadst overcome the sharpness of death thou didû open the kingdom of heaven to all believers.

Thou fittest at the right hand of God in the glory of the Father.

We believe that thou shalt come to be our Judge. We therefore pray thee, help thy servants: whom thou haft redeemed with thy precious blood.

Make them to be numbered with thy faints in glory everlafting.

O Lord, fave thy people: and bless thine heritage.

Govern them and lift them up for ever.

Day by day we magnify thee;

to keep

And we worship thy Name: ever, world without end. Vouchfafe, O Lord us this day without fin. O Lord, have mercy upon us: have mercy upon us.

That we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies: might ferve him without fear,

In holiness and righteousness before him all the days of our life..

The Second Collect, for Peace.

GOD, who art the author 0 of peace, and lover of concord, in knowledge of whom standeth our eternal life, whose service is perfect freedom; Defend us, thy humble fervants, in all affaults of our enemies; that we furely trusting in thy defence, may not fear the power of any adverfaries, through the might of Jesus Chrift our Lord. Amen.

The third Collect, for Grace.

LORD our heavenly Father, Almighty and everlafting God, who haft fafely brought us to the beginning of this day; Defend us in the fame with thy mighty power; and grant that this day we fall into no fin, neither run into any kind of danger; but that all our doings may be ordered by thy governance, to do always that is righteous in the fight, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
