I SIR, Think myself under an obligation thus publicly to addrefs you, and your brethren in the ministry, on account of an affertion which I heard you make in the pulpit of the New Chapel, City-Road, London, when you preached before the Conference, on Tuefday, August 10, 1796. It is true, you did not say who thofe erroneous people were, whom you thus reprefented as difhonouring the adorable Saviour; and afcribing that to bell fire (namely, the purifying from fin) which only belongs to his atoneing facrifice.
