cording as he purpofeth in his Heart, fo let him give, not grudgingly, or of neceffity; for God loveth a chearful Giver.

a Take heed that ye do not your Alms before Men, to be feen of them, that ye may have Glory of Men: But when thou doft Alms, let not thy left Hand know what thy right Hand doth; that thine Alms may be in fecret, and thy Father, which feeth in fecret, himself fhall reward thee openly.

b Bleffed is he that confidereth the poor : The Lord will deliver him in time of Trouble. But whofo ftoppeth his Ears at the Cry of the poor, he also fhall cry himself, but fhall not be heard.

He that hath pity upon the poor, lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given, will he pay him again.

d God is not unrighteous to forget your Work and Labour of Love, which ye have fhewed towards his Name, in that ye have miniftred to the Saints, and do minifter.

e Whosoever shall fee any of the Disciples of Chrift an hungred, or athirft, or a Stranger, or naked, or fick, or in Prifon, and shall minifter unto him; when the Son of Man fhall come in his Glory, he fhall fay unto them, Inafmuch as ye have done thus unto one of the least of these my Brethren, ye have done it unto me, and they fhall go into Life eternal.

f He that giveth unto the poor fhall not lack; but he that hideth his Eyes, fhall have many a Curfe.

a Whofo hath this Worlds Good, and feeth his Brother have need, and fhutteth up his Bowels of Compaffion from him, how dwelleth the Love of God in him?

b Whofo mocketh the poor, reproacheth his Maker; but he that honoureth him, hath Mercy on the Poor.

CANDOUR.

Judge not, that ye be not Judged; In judging. Condemn not, that ye be not condemned: For with what Judgment ye judge, ye fhall be judged; and with what Meafure ye mete, it fhall be measured to you again.

d Judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to Light the hidden things of Darkness, and will make manifeft the Counfels of the Hearts; and then shall every Man that hath done well have Praise of God.

e Who art thou that judgeft another Man's Servant? to his own Mafter he ftandeth or falleth.

But why doft thou judge thy Brother? or why doft thou fet at nought thy Brother? For we shall all ftand before the Judgment Seat of Chrift.

g So then, every one of us fhall give account of himself to God; let us not therefore judge one another any more.

a Judge not according to the Appearance, but judge righteous Judgment.

b Charity thinketh no Evil, believeth all things, hopeth all things; rejoiceth not in Iniquity, but rejoiceth in the Truth.

One believeth that he may eat all things; another, who is weak, eateth Herbs: let not him that eateth, despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not, judge him that eateth.

d Take no heed unto all Words that are fpoken, left thou hear thy Servant curfe thee. For oftentimes alfo thine own Heart know. eth, that thou thy felf, likewife, haft curfed o thers.

e Why beholdest thou the Mote that is in thy Brother's Eye, but confidereft not the Beam that is in thine own Eye? thou Hypocrite, first caft out the Beam out of thine own Eye, and then fhalt thou fee clearly to caft out the Mote out of thy Brother's Eye.

f Thou art inexcufable, O Man, whosoever thou art, that judgeft, when thou that judgeft doft the fame things: For wherein thou judgest another, thou condemneft thy felf. And thinkeft thou this, O Man, that judgest them which do fuch things, and doft the fame, that thou shalt efcape the Judgment of God.

g He that is without Sin among you, let him first caft a Stone at his Neighbour.

Speak not Evil one of another, Brethren for he that fpeaketh Evil of his Brother, and judgeth his Brother, fpeaketh Evil of the Law, and judgeth the Law.

Thou shalt not raise a false Report.

He that covereth a Tranfgreffion, feeketh Love; but he that repeateth a Matter, feparateth very Friends.

d He that uttereth a Slander is a Fool.

e The Lips of the righteous know what is acceptable; but the Mouth of the wicked fpeaketh Frowardness.

f Lord, who fhall abide in thy Tabernacle? he that backbiteth not with his Tongue, nor taketh up a Reproach against his Neighbour.

g All that watch for Iniquity fhall be cut off; and they that make a Man an Offender for a Word.

h Whofo privily flandereth his Neighbour, he fhall be cut off. And Revilers fhall not inherit the Kingdom of God.

i The wicked fhall be ashamed, and put to filence, which fpeak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

e Of fome have Compaffion, making a difference; and others fave with Fear, pulling them out of the Fire.

f Confefs your Faults one to another; and, fubmit your felves one to another, in the Fear of God.

He that winneth Souls is wife.

h Brethren, if any of you do err from the Faith, and one convert him, let him know, That he which converteth the Sinner from the Error of his Way, fhall fave a Soul from Death, and fhall hide a multitude of Sins.
