1 Sam. ii. 30. Them that honour me, I will honour.

Prov. iii. 9. Honour the LORD with thy fubftance, and with the

firft-fruits of all thine increase.

Ver. 10. So fhall thy barns be filled with plenty,. and thy preffes fhall burst out with new wine.

VIII. TO PRAYER.

Job xxxiii. 26. He fhall pray unto God, and he shall be favourable unto him, and he shall sfee his face with joy.

Exod. xxxiv. 24. Neither fhalf any man desire thy land, when thou fhalt go up to appear before the LORD thy GOD, thrice in the year.

Deut. iv. 7. What nation is there fo great, who hath GOD fo nigh unto them, as the LORD our GOD is in all things that we call upon him for?

Pf. x. 17. LORD thou hast heard the defire of the · humble: thou wilt prepare their heart; thou wilt caufe thine ear to hear.

Pf. vi. 9. The LORD hath heard my fupplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.

God.

Deut. iv. 29. If thou fhalt feek the LORD thy GOD, thou fhalt find him ; if thou seek him with all thy heart, and with all thy foul.

1 Chron. xxviii. 9. If thou feek him, he will be found of thee.

Fob viii. 5. If thou wouldst feek unto GOD be

times, and make thy fupplication unto the Almighty.

Ver. 6. If thou wert pure and upright, furely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness profperous.

P. xcii. 1. It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to fing praifes unto thy name, O Moft High!

Ver. 2. To fhew forth thy loving kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night.

Grace.

Matt. v. 6. Bleffed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteoufnefs: for they fhall be filled.

If. lv. 1. Ho, every one that thirfteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money : Come ye, buy and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk, without money, and without price.

John vii. 37. Jesus stood and cried, faying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

Ver. 38. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath faid, out of his belly fhall flow rivers of water. Rev. xxi. 6. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end; I will give unto him that is athirst, of the fountain of the water of life freely.

To the Wife.

Prov. iii. 13. Happy is the man that findeth wifdom; and the man that getteth understanding..

Ver. 18. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her; and happy is every one that retaineth her.

Prov. iv. 6. Forfake her not, and the fhall preferve thee: Love her, and she shall keep thee.

Ver. 8. Exalt her, and fhe fhall promote thee : She fhall bring thee to honour, when thou doft embrace her.
