Whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the word, this man shall be blessed in his deed. James i. 25.

There shall be desolation. Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength. Isa. xvii. 9, 10.

Grace to persevere promised to those who seek it.

He will keep the feet of his saints. 1 Sam. ii. 9.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord; and he delighteth in his way: though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord up. holdeth him with his hand. Psl. xxxvii. 23, 24.

I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them. Isa. xlii. 16.

I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn thee. Jer. xxxi. 3.

I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me. Jer. xxxii. 40.

The Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he might sift you as wheat. But I have

He that believeth not, shall be damned. Luke xvi. 16.

And he (the Lord) said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be, for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith. Deut. xxxii. 20.

Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? Nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall in the day of their visitation they shall be cast down, saith the Lord. Jer. viii. 12.

Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be brought down to hell. Matt.xi. 21, 23.

Hear, O earth: Behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but have rejected it. Jer.

vi. 19.

If we sin wilfully, after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a

prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not. Luke xxii. 31, 32.

Jesus said, Whoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him, shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water, springing up into everlasting life. John iv. 14.

All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. This is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. John vi. 37, 38.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me; and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. John x. 27-29.

I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom. viii. 38, 39.

He shall be holden up: for God is able to make them stand. Rom. xiv. 4.

The God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly.. Rom. xvi. 20.

certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. Heb. x. 27, 28.

The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb. Rev. xiv. 10.

The fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Rev. xxi. 8.

If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. John xv. 5.

If ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before yor, but go and serve other gods, and worship them; then will I cut off Israel out of the land. 1 Kings ix. 6, 7.

The light of the wicked shall be put out. His own counsel shall cast him down. Job xviii. 5, 7.

The Lord shall have them in derision. Psalm ii. 4.

Waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: who shall also confirm you unto the end. 1 Cor. i. 7, 8.

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you, will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Phil. i. 6.

The very God of peace sanctify you wholly and I pray God your whole spirit, and soul, and body, be preserved blame less unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. 1 Thess. v. 23, 24.

The Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. 2 Thess. iii. 3.

Brethren, give all diligence to make your calling and election sure; for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: for so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. 2 Peter i. 10, 11.

The anointing which we have received of him abideth in you. As the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. 1 John ii. 27.

The Hope of the Righteous. Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, and

Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book. Exod. xxxii. 33.

He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him : the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him at the last day. John xii. 48.

From him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him. Luke xix. 26.

No whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of God and of Christ. Because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Eph. v. 5, 6.

Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of the Lord! The Lord will cut off the man that doeth this. Mal. ii. 11, 12.

The Hope of the Wicked.

The hypocrite's hope shall perish, whose hope shall be cut

whose hope is in the Lord his "God. Psl. cxlvi. 5.

The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. Lam. iii. 24.

We are saved by hope; but hope that is seen, is not hope; for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? Rom. viii. 25.

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Rom. xv. 13.

Your understanding being enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. Eph. i. 18.

We give thanks to God always for you: remembering your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope, in our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thes. i. 2, 3.

The Lord Jesus Christ is our hope. 1 Tim. i. 1.

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour. Tit. ii. 13.

off, and whose truth shall be a spider's web. Job viii. 13, 14.

The eyes of the wicked shall fail, their hope shall be the giving up of the ghost. Job xi. 20.

The expectation of the wicked shall perish. Prov. x. 28.

Having no hope, and without God in the world. Eph. ii. 12.

When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish; and the hope of unjust men perisheth. Prov. xi. 7.

What is the hope of the wicked, when God taketh away his soul? Job xxvii. 8.

The expectation of the wicked is wrath. Prov. xi. 23.

There is no hope: no! for I have loved strangers, and after them will I go. Jer. ii. 25.

Promises to those who wait for Christ's second coming, and Blessings consequent upon his appearing.

Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning; and ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that, when he cometh

Threatenings against those, who look not, and are not prepared for Christ's second coming.

There shall come in the last

days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue

and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately. Blessed are those servants, whom their lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, That he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and shall come forth and serve them. And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. Be ye therefore ready. Luke xii. 3538, 40.

I go to prepare a place for you; and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am there ye may be also. John xiv. 2, 3.

as they were from the beginning of the creation. But the heavens and the earth which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 2 Pet. iii. 3, 4, 7.

He shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

There shall be

weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. Luke xiii. 27, 28.

Who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire. I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and that fear not me, saith the Lord of hosts. Mal. iii, 2, 3, 5.

The chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable. Luke iii. 17.

As it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of Man. They did eat,
