tions. It shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments and keep them, and do them, that the Lord thy God shall keep with thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers. And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee. Thou shalt be blessed above all people. Deut vii. 9, 12, 13, 14.

The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant. Psalm xxv. 14...

I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant. My mercy will I keep for him evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him. My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing which is gone out of my lips. Psalm lxxxix. 3, 28, 34.

I the Lord have called thee (Christ) in righteousness, and I will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light to the Gentiles. Isaiah xlii. 6.

The mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee. Isaiah liv. 10.

Incline your ear, and come unto me; hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. Isaiah lv. 3.

Behold the days come, saith

the Lord destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the Lord your God. Deut. viii. 19, 20.

Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the Lord your God, which he made with you; for the Lord thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God. Deut. iv. 23, 24.

I took my staff, even beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant, which I had made with all the people. Zech. xi. 10.

Ye have corrupted the covenant: therefore have I made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways. Mal. ii. 8, 9.

Thus saith the Lord God; I will even deal with thee as thou hast done, which hast despised the oath, in breaking the covenant. Ezek. xvi. 59.

Such as do wickedly against the covenant, shall be corrupt by flatteries. Dan. xi. 32.

The Lord shall separate him

the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah. This shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel: after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jer. xxxi. 31, 33.

They shall be my people, and I will be their God: and I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them: and I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me. Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good. Jer. xxxii. 38-41.

Thus saith the Lord: I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of their flesh; and will give them a heart of flesh: that they may walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them and they shall be my people, and I will be their God. Ezek. xi. 19, 20.

I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you to pass under the bond of the covenant. Ezek. xx. 37.

When I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord God, and thou be

unto evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law. because they have forsaken the covenant of the Lord God of their fathers, which he made with them, when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt. Deut. xxix. 21, 25.

Seeing he despised the oath by breaking the covenant, when, lo! he had given his hand, and hath done all these things, he shall not escape. Therefore thus saith the Lord God; As I live, surely mine oath that he hath despised, and my covenant that he hath broken, even it will I recompense upon his own head. Ezek. xvii. 18, 19.

As for them, whose heart walketh after the heart of their detestable things, and their abominations, I will recompense their way upon their own heads, saith the Lord God. Ezek. xi. 21.

Thus saith the Lord God of Israel: Cursed be the man that obeyeth not the words of this covenant. Jer. xi. 3.

If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the Lord God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the Lord thy God, in transgressing his covenant: then shalt thou bring forth that man or that wo

camest mine. I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant. And I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord. Ezek. xvi. 8, 60, 62.

I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land; and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods. And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing. Ezek. xxxiv. 25, 26.

I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them and multiply, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. My tabernacle also shall be with them; yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Ezek. xxxvii. 26, 27.

I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies. I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the Lord. And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith the Lord, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth; and I will have mercy on her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God. Hosea ii. 19-23.

Behold, the days come saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of

man, which have committed that wicked thing, unto the gates, even that man or that woman, and shaltstone them with stones, till they die. Deut. xvii. 2, 5.

Set the trumpet to thy mouth. He shall come as an eagle against the house of the Lord, because they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law. Hosea viii. 1.

When ye have transgressed the covenant of the Lord your God, which he commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed yourself to them; then shall the anger of the Lord be kindled against you, and ye shall perish quickly from the land which he hath given unto you. Joshua xxiii. 16.

Thus saith the Lord: I will give the men that have transgressed my covenant, which have not performed the words of the covenant which they had made before me; I will even give them into the hands of their enemies, and into the hands of them that seek their life: and their dead bodies shall be meat unto the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth. Jer. xxxiv. 18, 20.

Because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinances, broken the everlasting

Israel and with the house of Judah. And this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people. I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no Heb. viii. 8, 10, 12.

covenant; therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left. Isa. xxiv. 5, 6.

Help from God promised.

The God of thy Father shall help thee. Gen. xlix 25.

The Eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee, and shall say, Destroy them. Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people, saved by the Lord, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! Deut. xxxiii. 27, 29.

The salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble, and the Lord shall help them, and deliver them. Psl. xxxvii. 39, 40.

God is in the midst of her, (the church,) she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. Psl. xlvi.

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I

I come and smite the earth with a curse. Mal. iv. 6.

Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity. Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. Zech. xiv. 1, 2, 3.

The Lord will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies. Nahum i..2..

Repent, or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. Rev. ii. 16.

Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the

strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech, I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name. And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and kill him not; then I will set my face against that man, and against his family. Lev. xx. 2-5.

Thus saith the Lord, For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, saith the Lord. Amos ii. 1, 3.

Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will set my face against you for evil, and to cut off all Judah. Jer. xliv. 11.

The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things. Psl. xii. 3.

I will stretch out my hand upon thee, and will deliver thee for a spoil to the heathen; and I will cut thee off from the people. I will destroy thee; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord. Ezek. xxv. 7.

Threatenings against those who deny Christ.

There shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies,
