And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong, and of good courage; fear not, nor be dismayed: for the Lord God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not leave thee nor forsake thee. 1 Chron. xxviii. 20,

This God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death. Psl. xlviii. 14.

I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself will be with them, and be their God. Rev. xxi. 3.

Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people. Jer. vii. 23.

I will gather you in mine anger and in my fury, and I will leave you there, and melt you. Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you in the fire of my wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst thereof. Ezek. xxii. 20, 21.

I will make you to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. And I will give the men that have trangressed my covenant, I will even give them into the hand of their enemies. I will make the cities of Judah a desolation without an inhabitant. Jer. xxxiv. 17 -22.

Thus saith the Lord; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth. And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem, and they shall be my people, and I will be their God in truth and in righteousness. Zech. viii. 3, 8.

God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. I will be a father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Almighty. 2 Cor. vi. 16, 18.

Promises that God will never forsake his People.

The Lord thy God is a merciful God; he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers, which he sware unto them. Deut. iv. 31.

Be strong and of a good couFage; fear not: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee nor forsake thee. He it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not. 'Deut. xxxi. 6, 8.

As I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee nor forsake the. Josh.

If ye forsake the Lord, and serve strange gods, then he will turn and do you hurt, and consume you, after that he hath done you good. Josh. xxiv. 20.
