I fhall thy glorious Throne furound,
And be for ever bleft.

3

I

This is the Heaven I hope to gain,
The presence of my God!

To adore the great atoning Lamb!
Who bought me with his Blood.

4

I long to fee that happy Day,
When every Tear fhall ceafe;

With Joy! I'd wing my flight away :

T'embrace the kind Release.

5

With Raptures then I'd mount the Sky!

My Jefus to adore;

And spend a blest Eternity:

With him for evermore.

6

Free Grace: fhall ever be my Song,

My nobleft Song above;

Free Grace alone: fhall wear the Crown;

Free Grace and dying Love.

Rejoicing in Communion with the Beloved.

1

Come my Beloved! come away.
And let me, taste thy Love;
With me for ever — ever stay,
"Till I mount up above.

2

It is thy Voice! I feel the near,
Oh! feal me ever thine;

"Till I, in thy bright Realms appear,

To prove thee ever mine.

3

Oh! for ten thousand Tongues to tell,
The love of Chrift, my God!

He fav'd my guilty Soul from Hell,

And bought my Peace with Blood.

An Addrefs to the Church.

He fits upon a Throne of Love,
Oh! fall before his face ;

Let your Complaints afcend above,
Adore his fovereign Grace.

The Lord, will not refufe to hear,

Whatever be your Case:

Therefore, you may in Faith draw near,
He will beftow his Grace.

4

He knew you, ere you drew

your Breath,

And fought you by his Love;

He'll guide you through the fhades of Death, Then take you up above.

5

The Eternal God! is ftill the fame,

Our Father! and our Friend;

His word and Promife will remain,

The fame, till Time fhall End

July 28, 1789.

The Excellence of a triune God, and the Vanity of the World.

1

How fweet the Moments when I feel,
The inward Teachings of my God;

The Spirit whifpers to reveal

My Interest in a Saviour's Blood.

2

What are the World's delusive Toys!
When I can call my Jefus, mine;
My Soul hath far fuperior Joys,
Joys! both Substantial aud Divine.

3

Good God! how Infinite thy Name!
Thine Attributes: fupremely bright!

Thy Love! unchangeably the same,
Thou art all Wisdom, Power, and Might.

4

Eternity! will ne'er make known,
Thy free difcriminative Grace ;
The Merits of a God alone,

Could purchase Pardon, Life, and Peace.

5

This God! the Spring of all my Joy,
The only Source of Life, and Light!
His Excellence my Tongue employ,
His Glory be my chief Delight.

6

How feeble my attempt to praife,
The great Eternal One in Three;
My Soul would with her Powers to raise,
To adore the bleffed Trinity.

Auguft 2, 1789.

The Lord's Day.

Oh! that I may this Day; experimentally feel the Power of thy Refurrection: LORD! what are Ordinances? They are, but as Pipes of Conveyance:
