For those of us who were struggling to serve the sevices of the Orthodox Church in English in the mid-twentieth century, when there was a genuine dearth of books in our Language, there was 'the Hapgood'.
One of the few that we had was the Hapgood _Service_Book_, which along with the work of the priest Serafim Nasser and the Boston _Psalter_ provided us with the basic tools.
Miss Hapgood's fine work was flawed in ways that were predictable (as she, herself was Episcopalian), yet it made it so that we did not have to translate every service from scratch.
