saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through

thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as

lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power

to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power

of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Notwithstanding, in this rejoice not that the spirits are

subject unto you ; but rather rejoice, because your names

are written in heaven. In that hour Jesus rejoiced in

spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven

and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the

wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes : even

so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight. All things

Luke iv. 38, 44.—And he arose out of the synagogue, and

entered into Simon's house: and Simon's wife's mother

was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for

her. And he stood over, and rebuked the fever; and

it left her. And immediately she arose, and ministered

unto them. Now, when the sun was setting, all they

he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast-day,

many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles

which he did. But Jesus did not commit himself unto

them, because he knew all men: and needed not that

any should testify of man: for he knew what was in

lee, where he made water wine. And there was a certain

nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum, when he

heard that Jesus was come out of Judea into Galilee he

went unto him, and besought him that he would come

down and heal his son: for he was at the point of

death. Then said Jesus unto him, except ye see signs

and wonders ye will not believe. The noblemen saith

unto him, sir, come down ere my child die. Jesus saith,

unto him, go thy way, thy son liveth. And the man

believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him,
