Note. The apparent decrease in the Number and Tonnage of Ships belonging to his Majesty's Dominions, for the year ended 5th January 1829, has arisen from the operation of the Registry Acts 4 and 6 · Geo. 4, which required all Vessels to be registered de novo, within a limited period; the consequence has been, that many Vessels which were supposed to be in existence, were found to be no longer so.
