MONDAY.

Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and Thy glory unto their children. And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. (Ps. 90: 16-17).

Upon Entering the Week of Labor. ULE Thou, O God the Father,

Who hast created us, together with all creatures, not unto idleness but unto labor, and bless each now in his appropriate calling. May He Who ruleth and governeth all the world, also guide those in authority over us, and graciously support them with His power and wisdom.

Rule Thou, The Son, Who hast redeemed us and paid the price of sin in our stead. May He remove from us the burden of sin which we committed during the past week, and grant us His peace. May the Great Bishop and Chief Shepherd of our souls help all servants of His Word who labor in this and every

other community on earth, to bring forth fruit unto everlasting life.

Rule Thou, O God the Holy Ghost, Who hast sanctified us and regenerated us in Holy Baptism. May He create in us a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within us, that we carry none of the evils of the past week over into the new, but slay every purpose and inclination of the old Adam within us. May He govern our hearts our hearts mightily; and should this week mark for any the end of the days, may the Holy Spirit help such in all bitterness of the hour of death, fill his heart with grace which is better than life, teach his hands to do battle and conquer the last enemy, and, for Christ's sake, grant unto him the rest and glory of an eternal sabbath.
