Zeal of God.

take them away with a whirlwind, both living and in his wrath. 10 The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.— 97: 8 Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O LORD. 136: 1 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. 10 To him that smote Egypt in their first-born: for his mercy endureth for ever: 11 And brought out Israel from among them: for his mercy endureth for ever. [See the whole Psalm.]

Jer. 11: 19 I was like a lamb or an ox that is brought to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices against me, saying, Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered. 20 But, O LORD of hosts, that judgest righteously, that triest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I revealed my cause.

Ezk. 5: 13 Thus shall mine anger be accomplished, and I will cause my fury to rest upon them, and I will be comforted: and they shall know that I the LORD have spoken it in my zeal, when I have accomplished my fury in them.

2 Pet. 3: 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness. [See 208.]

Ps. 24: 1 The earth is the LORD's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. - 50: 10 Every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. 11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. 12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine and the fulness thereof. 95: 5 The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. 6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. 7 For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. — 100: 3 The Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Ezk. 18: 4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine.

Rom. 9: 20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? 21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honor, and another unto dishonor? 22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much long-suffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: 23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory.

2 Tim. 2: 25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth.
