The Epiftle. Col. 3. 12.
Ut on therefore (as the elect of God, holy and be
loved ) bowels of mercies , kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering, forbearing one another and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any ; even as Christ forgave you, so allo do ye. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts,to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns, and spiritual fongs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whaiscever yedo in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God, and the Father by him.

Beloved, now are we the fons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be:but we know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him:for we shall see him as he is. He that committeth in is of the devil : for the devil sinneth from the beginring. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, hat he might destroy the works of the devil.
The Gospel. S. Matth.24. 23.
'Hen if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is
Christ, or there: believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and Mall shew great ligns and wonders ; insomuch that (if it were posible) they shalt deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore , if they shall say unto you, Behold he is in the desert, go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers, believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the welt: so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be ga. thered together. Immediatly after the tribulation of those days, shall the sun be darkned, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars Niall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens: shall be shaken. And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then thall all the tribes of the earth mourn and they hall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven vith power and great glory. And he fliall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gaher together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
