20 Well; because of UNBELIEF they were broken off, and thou STANDEST BY FAITH. Be not HIGH-MINDED, but FEAR.

21 For if GOD fpared not the natural Branches, take heed left he also fpare not thee.

22 Behold therefore the GOODNESS, and SEVERITY of GOD on them which FELL, SEVERITY; but towards thee, GOODNESS, if thou CONTINUE in his Goodness: otherwise thou alfo fhalt be CUT OFF.

23 And they also, if they bide not still in Unbelief, shall be graffed in for GOD is able to graff them in again.

25 For I would not, Brethren, that ye fhould be ignorant of this Mystery (left ye fhould be wife in your own. Conceits) that Blindness in part is happened to Ifrael, until the FULNESS of the GENTILES be come in.

26 And fo all Ifrael fhall be faved: as it is written, There fhall come out of Sion the DELIVERER, and fhall turn away Ungodlinefs from Jacob.

27 For this is my Covenant unto them, when I fhall take away their Sins.

33 O the DEPTH of the RICHES both of the WISDOM and KNOWLEDGE of GOD: how UNSEARCHABLE are his JUDGMENTS, and his WAYS paft finding out!

34 For who hath known the MIND of the LORD, or WHO hath been his COUNSELLER?

35 Or who hath firft given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

36 For of him, and through him, and to him are all Things to whom be GLORY for EVER. Amen.

JUDE.

Ver. 3 BELOVED, when I gave all Diligence to write

unto you of the common Salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye fhould earneftly CONTEND for the FAITH which was once delivered unto the Saints.

4 For there are certain Men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this Condemnation, ungodly Men, turning the GRACE of our GOD into LASCIVIOUSNESS, and DENYING the ONLY LORD GOD, and our LORD JESUS CHRIST.

5 I will therefore put you in Remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the LORD having SAVED the

Ffz

PEOPLE

PEOPLE out of the Land of Egypt, afterward DESTROYED them that BELIEVED NOT.

6 And the Angels which kept not their first Estate, but left their own Habitation, he hath referved in everlasting Chains under Darkness, unto the JUDGMENT of the GREAT DAY.

HE B. II.

Ver. 1 THEREFORE we ought to give the more EAR

NEST HEED to the Things which we have heard, left at any time we fhould let them SLIP.

2 For if the WORD fpoken by ANGELS was STEDFAST, and every TRANSGRESSION and Difobedience received a juft Recompence of Reward.

3 How hall we ESCAPE if we NEGLECT fo great SALVATION, which at the firft began to be fpoken by the LORD, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him.

4 GOD alfo bearing them witnefs, both with SIGNS and WONDERS, and with divers MIRACLES, and GIFTS of the HOLY GHOST, according to his own Will.

HE B. III.

Ver. 5 M Servant, for a Testimony of thofe Things which

OSES was FAITHFUL in all his Houfe as a

were to be spoken after;

6 But CHRIST as a Son over his own House: whose Houfe are we, if we hold faft the CONFIDENCE, and the REJOYCING of the HOPE FIRM unto the END.

7 Wherefore as the HOLY GHOST faith, To-day if ye will bear his Voice,

8 HARDEN NOT your HEARTS, as in the Provocation, in the Day of Temptation in the Wilderness:

9 When your Fathers tempted me, proved me, and faw my Works forty Years.

10 Wherefore I was grieved with that Generation, and faid, They do alway err in their Heart; and they have not known my Ways.

11 So I fware in my Wrath, They fhall not enter into my Reft.

12 Take heed, Brethren, left there be in any of you an EVIL HEART of UNBELIEF in DEPARTING from the LIVING GOD.

13 But exhort one another daily while it is called, Today;

day; left any of you be HARDNED through the DECEITFULNESS of SIN.

14 For we are made PARTAKERS of CHRIST, if we HOLD the Beginning of our CONFIDENCE STEDFAST unto the END;

15 While it is faid, To-day if ye will hear his Voice, harden not your Hearts, as in the Provocation.

16 For fome when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit, not all that came out of Egypt by Mofes.

17 But with whom was he grieved forty Years? was it not with them that had finned, whofe Carcafes fell in the Wilderness,

18 And to whom fware he that they fhould not enter into his Reft, but to them that BELIEVED NOT.

19 So we see that they could not enter in, because of UNBELIEF.

Ver. 1

T

HESE be the Words which Mofes spake unto all Ifrael on this fide Jordan in the Wilderness, in the Plain over against the Red Sea.

3 And it came to pafs in the FORTIETH Year, in the eleventh Month,

on the first Day of the Month, that Mofes fpake unto the

Children

Children of Ifrael, according unto all that the LORD had given him in Commandment UNTO them.

4 After he had flain Sihon the King of the Amorites, and Og the King of Bashan.

5 On this fide Jordan, in the Land of Moab, began Mofes to declare this Law, faying,

6 The LORD our GOD fpake unto us in HOREB, faying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this Mount:

7 Turn you, and take your Journey, and go to the Mount of the Amorites, and by the Sea-fide, to the Land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great River the River Euphrates.

8 Behold, I have fet the Land before you go in and POSSESS the Land which the LORD fware unto your Fathers, Abraham, Ifaac, and Jacob, to give unto them, and to their Seed after them.

9 And I fpake unto you at that Time, faying, I am not able to bear you myself alone:

10 The LORD your God hath multiplied you, and behold you are this Day as the STARS of HEAVEN for MUL

TITUDE.

11 (The LORD GOD of your Fathers make you a thoufand times fo many more as ye are, and BLESS you as he hath PROMISED you)

12 How can I myself alone bear your Cumbrance, and your Burden, and your Strife?

13 Take ye WISE Men and understanding, and known among your Tribes, and I will make them Rulers over you.

14 And ye answered me, and faid, The Thing which thou haft spoken is good for us to do.

15 So I took the chief of your Tribes, wife Men and known, and made them Heads over you, Captains over thousands, and Captains over hundreds, and Captains over fifties, and Captains over tens, and Officers among your Tribes.

16 And I charged your Judges at that Time, saying, Hear the Causes between your Brethren, and Judge righTEOUSLY between every Man and his Brother, and the Stranger that is with him.
