Compassion. and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

229. Is God faithful ?
Dt. 7. 9. The Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations.
Jos. 21. 45. There failed not aught of any good thing which all the world had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.
Jos. 23. 14. Ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.
Ps. 36. 5. Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.
Ps. 89. 2. Thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens. 33. My loving-kindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail. My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
Ps. 119. 90. Thy faithfulness is unto all generations.
Lam. 2. 17. The Lord hath done that which he had devised; he hath fulfilled his word that he had commanded in the days of old: he hath thrown down, and hath not pitied; and he hath caused thine enemy to rejoice over thee. 1 Th. 5. 24. Faithful is he that calleth you,
who also will do it.

223. Is God a being of forbearance and long-suffering?
Ec. 8. 11. Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of mon is fully set in them to do evil.
Rom. 2 4. Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness, and forbearance and long-suffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repent
Rom. 9. 22. What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much long-suffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction, 1 Tim. 1. 16. For this cause I obtained mercy,
that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all long-suffering, for a pattern to them which should herealter believe on him to life everlasting.
2 Pet. 3. 9. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
224. Is God perfectly good ?
Ex. 34. 6. The Lord God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth.
1 Ch. 16. 34. O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth forever.
Ps. 33. 5. The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
Ps. 52, 1. The goodness of God endureth continually.
Ps. 107. 8. O that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderiul works to the children of men.
Ps. 119. 68. Thou art good, and doest good.
Ps. 145. 7. They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteous

1 Jn. 4. 8. God is love. 225. Is God holy?
Ex. 15. 11. Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?
Lev. 11. 44. Ye shall be holy; for I am holy. 1 Sam. 2. 2. There is none holy as the Lord.
Job 15. 5. Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.

Ps. 71. 22. I will also praise thee,-0 thou Holy One of Israel.
In partiality. Ps. 99. 9. Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the Lord our God is holy
Ps. 111. 9. Holy and reverend is his name.
Ps. 145. 17. The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.
Is. 6.3. Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
Hab. 1. 13. Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity.
Jam. 1. 13. God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man.
Rev. 15. 4. Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name for thou only art holy.
226. Is God impartial ?
Gen. 18. 25. That be far from thee—to slay the righteous with the wicked; and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: shall not the judge of all the earth do right?
Ex. 34. 7. And that will by no means clear the guilty.
Dt. 10. 17. A great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward. He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger in giving him food and raiment.
Dt. 32. 4. All his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity: just and right is he.
2. Ch. 19. 7. There is no iniquity with the Lord our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.
Ps. 138. 6. Though the Lord be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly.
Ezk. 18. 25. Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?
