THAT this felection from the first three vobe purlumes of the American Preacher, may chafed at a cheap rate, and thus have a more general fpread and usefulness, all the fermons before meetings of the clergy are omitted, except one by the late Prefident Witherspoon. A few excellent discourses on doctrinal and practical fubjects are alfo left out, as other fermons on the fame fubjects of equal merit have been lately published in Britain. If this selection meets with the expected encouragement, another volume will be published when fufficient materials are received from America.
