"My Lords and Gentlemen,

"I earnestly recommend to you an attention towarus promoting among my people, in your feveral counties, that fpirit of order, regularity, and induftry, which is the true fource of revenue and power in this nation; and without which, all regulation for the improvement of the one, or the increase of the other, will have no effect."

Then the Earl of Mansfield, Lord Chief Juftice of the Court of King's Bench, Speaker of the Houfe of Lords, by his Majefty's command, faid:

My Lords and Gentlemen,

"It is his Majefty's royal will and pleasure, that this Parliament be prorogued to Tuefday the ninth day of September next, to be then here holden; and this Parliament is accordingly prorogued to Tuesday the ninth day of September next."
