BE IT REMEMBERED, That on the first day of October, in L. S. fifty-second year of the Independence of the United States America, John Marsh, of the said district, hath deposited this office the title of a book the right whereof he claims as Auth in the words following, to wit:-"An Epitome of general Ecclesias cal History from the earliest periods to the present time. With Appendix, giving a condensed History of the Jews from the destru tion of Jerusalem to the present day. Illustrated by Maps and E gravings. By John Marsh, A. M. Pastor of a Church in Hadda Conn." In conformity to the act of Congress of the U. States, e titled, "An act for the encouragement of learning, by securing the co ies of Maps, Charts and Books, to the authors and proprietors of su copies, during the times therein mentioned."--And also to the ad entitled, "An act supplementary to an act, entitled 'An act for the e couragement of learning, by securing the copies of maps, charts, an books, to the authors and proprietors of such copies during the tim therein mentioned,' and extending the benefits thereof to the arts designing, engraving, and etching historical and other prints."
