2 How can ye believe which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only? ver. 44. Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again, He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him, xii. 37-11. And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding and they would not come, Matt. xxii. S. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly, x. 10. And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? xi. 26. Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light, Eph. v. 14. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
