XII. STRENGTH, COURAGE, and RESOLUTION.

Ifa. xii. 1. Behold God is my falvation; I will truft, and not be afraid; for the LORD JEHOVAH is my ftrength and my fong, he alfo is become my falvation.

Ifa. xl. 29. He giveth power to the faint and to them that have no might, he increafeth ftrength.

Ver. 30. Even the youths fhall faint and be weary, and the young men fhall utterly fall.

Ver. 31. But they that wait upon the LORD fhall renew their strength: they fhall mount up with wings as eagles, they fhall run and not be weary, and they

fhall walk and not faint.

Ifa. xlii. 3. A bruised reed fhall he not break, and

Ver. 4. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, be ftrong, fear not: Behold your GOD will come with vengeance, even GOD with a recompençe, he will come and fave you.

XIII. FRUITFULNESS, and Increase of GRACE.

Fruitfulness.

John xv. 2. Every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Ver. 5. He that abideth in me, and I in him, the fame bringeth forth much fruit; for without me ye can do nothing.

XIV. GRACE to PERSEVERE.

John x. 28. And I will give unto them eternal life, and they fhall never perith, neither fhall any pluck them out of my hand.

Ver. 29. My Father that gave them me is greater than all, and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

John xvii. 11. Holy Father, keep through thine own name thofe whom thou haft given me, that they may be one, as we are.

Rom. viii. 38. I am perfuaded, that neither death,

nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things prefent, nor things to come,

Ver. 39. Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, fhall be able to feparate us from the love of GOD, which is in Christ Jefus our LORD.

I Cor. i. 8. Who fhall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our LORD Jefus Christ.

2 Cor. i. 21. He which stablifheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God.

Phil. i. 9. Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you, will perform it until the day of Jefus Christ.
