1 Sam. ii. 30. Them that honour me, I will honour.
Prov. iii. 9. Honour the LORD with thy fubftance, and with the

Ver. 10. So fhall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy preffes fhall burft out with new wine.
VIII. TO PRAYER.
Job xxxiii. 26. He fhall pray unto God, and he fhall be favourable unto him, and he fhall fee his face with joy.
Exod. xxxiv. 24. Neither fhall any man defire thy land, when thou fhalt go up to appear before the LORD thy GOD, thrice in the year.
Deut. iv. 7. What nation is there fo great, who hath GOD fo nigh unto them, as the LORD our GOD is in all things that we call upon him for?
Pf. x. 17. LORD thou haft heard the defire of the humble thou wilt prepare their heart; thou wilt caufe thine ear to hear.
Pf. vi. 9. The LORD hath heard my fupplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.
Pf. xviii. 3. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; fo fhall I be faved from mine enemics.

IX. To WISDOM and KNOWLEDGE, and the STUDY of it.
To the Wife.
Prov. iii. 13. Happy is the man that findeth wifdom; and the man that getteth understanding.
Ver. 14. For the merchandise of it is better than
the merchandise of filver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
Ver. 15. She is more precious than rubies; and all the things thou canst defire, are not to be compared unto her.
Ver. 16. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.
Ver. 17. Her ways are ways of pleasantnefs, and all her paths are peace.
Ver. 18. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her ; and happy is every one that retaineth her.
Ver. 35. The wife fhall inherit glory.
Prov. iv. 6. Forfake her not, and fhe fhall preferve thee Love her, and fhe fhall keep thee.
Ver. 8. Exalt her, and fhe fhall promote thee: She fhall bring thee to honour, when thou doft embrace her.
Ver. 9. She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace; a crown of glory fhall fhe deliver to thee. Prov. i. 5. A wife man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wife counfels :
Ver. 6. To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wife, and their dark fayings.
Prov. viii. 35. Whofo findeth me [Wifdom] findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.
Prov. ix. 12. If thou be wise, thou shalt be wife for thyself.
Prov. x. 17. He is in the way of life, that keepeth inftruction; but he that refuseth reproof, erreth.
Prov. xii. 8. A man fhall be commended according to his wifdom.
Prov. xiii. 15. Good understanding gives favour. Prov. xv. 24. The way of life is above to the wife, that he may depart from hell beneath.
