Ver. 30. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your tranfgreffions; fo iniquity fhall not prove your ruin.

Ver. 31. Caft away from you all your tranfgreffions, whereby ye have tranfgreffed, and make you a new heart, and a new fpirit; For why will ye die, O houfe of Ifrael ?

Ver. 32. For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, faith the LORD GOD: Wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.

Ezek. xxxiii. 14. When I fay unto the wicked, Thou fhalt furely die: If he turn from his fin, and do that which is lawful and right:

Ver. 15. If the wicked reftore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the ftatutes of life, without committing iniquity; he fhall furely live he fhall not die.

Ver. 16. None of his fins that he hath committed, fhall be mentioned unto him; he hath done that which is lawful and right.

Ver. 19. If the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.

Deut. iv. 30. When thou art

Repenting in Afflic- in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy GOD, and fhalt be obedient to his voice;

Ver. 31. (For the LORD thy GOD is a merciful GOD) he will not forfake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers, which he fware unto them.

Deut. xxx. 2. If thou fhalt return unto the LORD thy GOD; and fhalt obey his voice, according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children with all thine heart, and with all thy foul;

Confeffion of Sin.

Ff. xxxii. 5. I faid, I will confefs my tranfgreffions unto the LORD; and thou forgaveft the iniquity of my fins.

Prov. xxviii. 13. Whofo confefseth and forfaketh his fins, fhall have mercy.

1 John i. 9. If we confefs our fins, he is faithful and juft to forgive us our fins, and to cleanfe us from all unrighteoufnefs.

Lev. xxvi. 40. If they fhall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass, which they trefpaffed agato kne; and that also they have walked contrary to me;

Jer. iii. 12. Return, thou backfliding Ifrael, faith the LORD, and I will not caufe mine anger to fall upon you; for I am merciful, faith the LORD, and.. I will not keep anger forever..

Ver. 13. Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou haft tranfgreffed again the LORD thy GOD, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice, faith the LORD.

Luke xv. 21. The fon faid unto him, Father, I have finned against heaven, and in thy fight, and am no more worthy to be called thy fon.

Ver. 22. But the father faid to his fervants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring. on his hand, and fhoes on his feet.

Exod. xix. 5. If ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treafure unto me above all people.

Lev. xxv. 18. Ye fhall do my ftatutes, and keep my judgments, and do them: and ye fhall dwell in. the land in fafety

Ver. 19. And the land fhall yield her fruit, and ye fhall eat your fill, a dwell therein in fafety.

Ver. 6. Keep therefore and do them, for this is your wifdom and your understanding in the fight of the nations, which fhall hear all thefe ftatutes, and fay, Surely this great nation is a wife and understanding people.

Deut. v. 29. O that there were fuch an heart in them, that they would fear me and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them,. and with their children forever!

Ver. 18. Thou fhalt do that which is good and right in the fight of the LORD, that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayeft go in and poffefs the good land, which the LORD fware unto thy fathers.

Ver. 19. To cast out all thine enemies from before thee, as the LORD hath spoken.

Deut. vii. 12. It fhall come to pass, if ye hearken unto these judgments, and keep and do them, that the LORD thy GOD fhall keep unto thee the covenant which he fware unto thy fathers.

Deut. xi. 27. A bleffing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your GOD, which I command you this day.

Deut. xiii. 17. That the LORD may turn from the fierceness of his anger, and fhew thee mercy, and have compaffion upon thee, and multiply thee, as he hath fworn unto thy fathers.

Ver. 18. When thou fhalt hearken to the voice of the LORD thy GOD, to keep all his commandments, which I command thee this day, to do that which is right in the eye of the LORD thy GOD.

Deut. xxix. 9. Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye may profper in all that ye do.

Deut. xxx. 15. See, I have fet before thee this day good and evil:

Ver. 16. In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy GOD, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his ftatutes, and his judgments, that thou mayeft live and multiply; and the LORD thy GOD fhall blefs thee in the land, whither thou goeft to poffefs it.
