Matth. xi 28. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

John vi. 35. And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life; he that cometh unto me shall never hunger, and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Ver. 37. All that the Father giveth me, shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wife caft out.

1 Pet. ii. 4, 5. Matt. x. 32. Whosoever shall Confeffing Christ. confess me before men, him will I confefs also before my Father

Rom. x. 9. If thou shalt confefs with thy mouth the LORD JESUS, and shalt believe in thine heart, that GOD hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be faved.

Ver. 10. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confeffion is made unto salvation.

1 John iv. 15. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of GOD, GOD dwelleth in him, and he in him.

II. TO REPENTANCE.

cious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.

Ps. xxxvii. 27. Depart from evil, and do good, and dwell for evermore.

Prov. i. 23. Turn ye at my reproof: Behold, L. will pour out my Spirit upon you; I will make known my words unto you.

Fer. iv. 14. O Jerufalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall vain thoughts lodge within thee?

If. lv. 7. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts, and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our GOD, for he will abundantly pardon.

Jer. xviii. 8. If that nation against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the... evil that I thought to do unto them.

Jer. xxvi. 3. If so be they will hearken, and turn every man from his evil way, that I may repent me of the evil which I purpose to do unto them, because. of the evil of their doings.

Ver. 13. Amend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of the LORD your GOD, and the LORD will repent him of the evil that he hath pronounced against you.

Jer. xxxvi. 3. That they may return every man from his evil way, that I may forgive their iniquity, and their fin.

Ezek. xviii. 21. If the wicked will turn from alk his fins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he fhall furely live, he shall not die.

Ver. 22. All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be once mentioned unto him: In his righteousness that he hath done, he shall live. Ver. 23. Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die, faith the LORD GOD, and not that he should return from his ways and live?

Ver. 30. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your tranfgreffions; so iniquity shall not prove your ruin.

Ver. 31. Caft away from you all your tranfgreffions, whereby ye have transgressed, and make you a new heart, and a new spirit; For why will ye die, O house of Ifrael ?

Ver. 32. For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, faith the LORD GOD: Wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.

Ezek. xxxiii. 14. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt furely die: If he turn from his fin, and do that which is lawful and right:

Ver. 15. If the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall furely live,

he shall not die.

Ver. 16. None of his fins that he hath committed, shall be mentioned unto him, he hath done that which is lawful and right.

Ver. 19. If the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.

Joel ii. 12. Turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning.

Confeffion of Sin.

Ff. xxxii. 5. I faid, I will confefs my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my fins.

Prov. xxviii. 13. Whoso confesseth and forsaketh his fins, shall have mercy.

1 John i. 9. If we confess our fins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our fins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
