Auf die durchgeftochne Lende.

F the Part of Jefu's Body,
Which the Spear had pierced
thro',.

Of the Hands and Feet fo bloody,
We in spirit take a View,

2. Till we once can close caress them;
Till the Lamb fhall bright appear.
O how will we kifs and blefs them!
Thou permitt'ft us, Lamb fo dear!
3. All our Toil and labour ceafes,
Now our Sabbath is begun.
Those torn Hands and Feet of Jefus
Ev'ry thing for us have done;
4. What for us to do remaineth,
Is but eafy, light, and small :
All the heaviest part fuftaineth
Our dear Lamb, and does it all.

5.

10. Hence one often can take notice,
When a Rain of holy Blood,
Thro' the Spirit's prieftly Office,
Is on a poor Soul bestow'd.

11. When the Flock once meets to
gether

At the Supper of the Lamb,
Whom he and his tender Father,
Marks already with his Name;

12. Then shall he the Man of Sor
rows,

Reft our Sinner-hoft with him,
And fome thousands more, our Fel-
lows,

In that once Millennium.

13. In the Side of the dear Saviour, 'Midft thofe Church-times truly free, They shall reft; for That shall ever And alone the Temple be.

WE greet each other in the

1. When thy Worms furvey thy La

bour,

Oft thou let'ft it happen fo,
Some work (out of Grace and favour)
Thro' the Children's hands fhall go.
6. Then the Sabbath long expected
For the lovely Lamb, fhall come :
And we fhall, for him elected,
With him ever be at home.
7. Thou dost now thy Reft inherit,
Yet thou feeft and bleffeft too,
What thy Father and thy Spirit
In thy Church's matters do.
8. Both are ftill employ'd in caring
How to please the Son and Lord;
His Bride company preparing,
For his trav'ling Soul's Reward.
9. Therefore bufies the dear Father
His kind Heart with many a foul;
Therefore operates the Mother
On the Hearts fo powerful.

Side

Of our beloved Spouse,
Which is ordain'd for his dear Bride
Her everlafting House.
The Lamb, the Hufband of our

hearts,

Hath got, 'tis true, more wounded
Parts,

Yet is the bleeding lovely Side
The chamber of the Bride.

2. Our Husband's Side-wound is in-
deed

The Queen of all his Wounds;
On this the little Pidgeons feed,
Whom Crofs's Air furrounds.
There they fly in and out and fing,
Side's Blood is feen on ev'ry wing,
The bill that picks the Side-hole's
floor,

Is red of Blood all o'er.

3. There fings the little happy croud, Warbling their blood wash'd throats,

And wet me thro' and thro';
For this I pant inceffantly,
And nothing else will do.
The Blood-fweat in thy Agony
Come in full heat all over me,

Thy Body ftretch its breadth and length

O'er me, and give me Strength.
6. A bird that dives into the Side,
Goes down quite to the Ground,
And finds a Bottom large and wide
In this fo lovely Wound.
A Side-hole's diver will I be:
O Side-hole! I will fink in thee.

My dear Saviour wakes me every Morning,

Wishes a good Day to me;

Pow'r in Poverty.

Proves one his Refurrection
And heavenly Exaltation,

Th'eternal Sire's, to me:
To him I fay, God's Quiv'ring
Sets all my foul a fhiv'ring,
I b'lieve the Glories eafily.

Eternity's Expansions,

And to Work or Meals where'er I'm Time's numberless dimenfions

In fpirit I have trac'd; But nothing hath fo ftruck me, As when God's Spirit took me To Golgotha: O, God be prais'd? 63.

In those Doctrines I'll continue,

With which the dear Bible's ftor'd; I find Sweetnefs, and find Sinews

In the holy Cov'nant-word. And if I my Heart am founding, While the Book I 'fore me hold; Then like Tallies correfponding, One the other does unfold. 8.

1. My gracious Lord, whene'er I think,

From whence thou haft me brought, My heart is melted at fuch Grace, Which my Deliv'rance wrought. 2. For what had I, till I receiv'd? Who made the Difference? "Twas thy free Grace fhew'd me thy Blood,

Then gave me Confidence.
61.

O holy Ghost, what comes from thee
I often fenfibly have found:
Thy hard and gentle Staff, I fee,
Give me a deep and folid Ground.
When I my Leffon to repeat,
To thee my holy Mafter go:
Then is the Lamb and his Reward
The question and the answer too.
