Will you appear to answer here,
You spread the Fame of ME,
To make a Bible none can clear,
But lies throughout to be ?
Bring MĖ the man that can contend,
Fast bound in satan's.chain,
To prove MY Bible all is true! ,,
No, all your arts are vain. .
It can't be done, ye sons of men,
By, satan's arts or yourse
MY Bible you do all deny.
And think yourselves secure,
To preach a word that came from God,
Which you affirm is wrong,:!
For if MY Bible all is false : :
Then lies upon your tongue'..
You do appear, I tell you here,.. i
In to the Church to go ;
And to MY Altar do repair
With words you do not know
The Bread of Heeven, must sure be

given,
I tell you tis MY WORD,
That must come down, the end be found,
You ne'er discern'd your LORD!.
From Types at first all things did burst,,
And so that Type did come :
But know the end was MY Intend,
To make THE TRUTH be known ;
Shadows froin man, the Bread did come,
Shadows of Bread below:
But now 'tis drawing to the end,
Your bread will never do.
No, 'tis MY WORD must be the Bread,
To save you in the end ;
And 'tis My Flesh must now break

forth,
The Spirit 's my intend
Must here appear, your Flesh must bear,
To eat and drink with ME: ,..
I see the ponderings in thy heart,

127

Which way can THYS THING be? !
To eat MÝ Flesh, can man express,
To eat the Flesh was MINE?..
A mystery here thou cans't not clear, .
Thy pondering thaughts resign,
It is not so, I well do know,
My Flesh is not their Food :
But further let thy thoughts to go
And let them eat MY Word ;
That's to believe, I dont deceive,
Then let MY Flesh' appear i
And know that I shall come again,
Their every guilt to clear -
That man with ME alike may be,
Close joined to the VINE;
Then in MY Spirit you will drink,
And know MY Blood's the Wine,
That must appear in power here,
The Water-pots to turn :
And in the end they'll all see clear, **
With Wine I've made them strong,"; ')). !!
. Because MY word, that's on record,

Shall make their Foes submit; * And when in power I appear

They'll TREMBLE at their Feet,
So I'll end here, and say no more,
But let MY Sheep demand
THE WAY the Bible men can clear, ' s
If they DENY thy hand

li. I .
No man on earth can now come forth,
· To prove these Writings thine ;
And as to hell, where darkness dwells,
They surely must resign :
Because from he it cannot be ?
As I have said before; to one with :
A Judas men would make of he,
To bring his gallows here:
Himself to hang, but 'tis for men,
That he persuades-them so ;
Recause their GOD they may condemn,
And all to hell may go. co

But when that I, who dwell on High,
PROVE erery word I've spoke ; :
I ask them where they then will fly,
For to prevent the Stroke."-

adieu, &c. &c.

THE BROTHER OF

JOANNA SOUTHCOTT,

WILL NOW COME FORWARD AS DINAH'S BRETHREN DID; THAT THEY SHALL NOT DEAL WITH HIS SISTER,

AS THEY WOULD WITH A HARLOT; FOR SO THEY ARE NOW DEALING WITH HER. AND HE WILL PROVE TO THE WORLD WHERE THE ADULTERY IS COMMITTED, BY MEN WHO ARE

UNCIRCUMCISED IN HEART AND LIFE; AND NOW HE WILL EXPEND ALL THAT HE HAS

IN THE WORLD, IF REQUIRED, IN THE HONEST DEFENCE OF HER CHARACTER-TILL HE HAS SLAIN

THE UNCIRCUMCISED PHILISTINES,
'AND ENTIRELY FREED HIS SISTER FROM THE

REPROACHES OF THEIR ADULTERY.

Monday, July 2, 1801. Now, Joanna, this is for thy Brother. I have drawn my sword every way, to stir up jealousy, like a man of war; and like warriors will I prepare my soldiers for the battle; and as I have already told thee, I now tell thee again, I should deal with men after the manner of men; and after the manner of men I will now deal. Therefore I told thee, when I sent thee to Bristol, that I had sent thy Brother before thee, and I should order thee to keep thy Brother in Bristol, before thy trial came on. And now to deal with men after the manner of men, when a Woman hath no Husband and no Father, but only a Brother, then that Brother, by the laws of your land, can support a Sister's injured honour, if he can prove her honour is injured falsely; and they that have injured her character must prove it by witnesses that she has done wrong, or they are liable to be punished for slander, if they murder a character, and that of an innocent woman. And thou hast affirmed 10. thy Brother, they are not only murdering thy character, but murdering the cha. racter of a worthy Lady that supports thee; murdering the character of all thy friends; murdering the GLORY and Honour of thy Lord and SAVIOUR Jesus CHRIST; setting at nought all his counsels, putting up man above nis CREATOR ; saying with Pharoah, Who is the Lord that we shall serve him? Who is the Most High that we shall pay homage unto him? This I will prove to the world, as a God that now speaketh, and adultery has been committed in Israel, by Pomeroy and thee; but I will say, as Pomeroy said, I will exculpate thee, if thou confessest the truth ; and every Letter thou didst send, that thou savest I commanded thee, that it was I the LORD that did command thee; the Letter thou sent to Symonds, Monday the 25th of June, it was I the Lord commanded thee to send it; and Jack Synonds drew his sword against Me, and
