VER. 19.

If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father, 15. Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty, 2 Cor. iii. 17. For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty: only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another, Gal. v. 15.
