Τhe Spirit of the Lon D spake by me, and his word ωσs in my tongue,2Sam. xxiii. 2. Αnd it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophecy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions, Joel ii. 28. For the prophecy came πot in old time by the will of man :
and who is the sword of thy excellency ! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee ; and thou shalt tread upon their high places, Deut. xxxiii. 25-29. For the LoRD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Ιsrael, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shallcleave to the house of Jacob. Αnd the people shall take them, and bring them to theirplace, and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the LoRD for servants and handmaids : and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were : and they shall rule overtheir oppressors. Αnd it shall come to pass, in the day that the LoRD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve, Isa. xiv. 1-3. Βehold, the days come, saith the
Lon D, that I will raise unto David a
righteous Βranch, and a Κing shall reign and prosper, and shall execute, judgment and justice in the earth. In his days Judah shall be saved, and Ιsrael shall dwell safely ; and this is his name whereby he shall be called, ΤΗΕ LΟRΙΟ ΟUR R.ΙGΗΤΕΟUSΝΕSS, Jer. xxiii. 5, 6. Βehold, Ι will gather them out of all countries whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath, and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely : Αnd they shall be my people, and I will be their God, xxxii. 37, 38. Τhus saith the LonD God, When I shall have gathered the house ofΙsrael from the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the heathen, then shall they dwell in their land that I have given to
servant Jacob. Αnd they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards , yea, they shall dwell with confidence, when I have executed judgments Ε all those that despise them round about them ; and they shall know that I am the Lon D their GoD, Εzek. xxviii. 25, 26. Αnd I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and
they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods, xxxίν.
