AT A GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, &c. HELD IN PHILADELPHIA, IN MAY 1805; IT WAS

"RESOLVED....That Mr. Milledoler and Mr. Woodhull, aided by the Permanent Clerk, be a committee, to select such parts of the Records of this Assembly, as they may judge proper to be published for the information of the people and judicatories of the Church: That the said clerk transcribe the same, and superintend the printing and distribution of 1500 copies; allotting a part to each Presbytery, proportioned to the number of its members, and churches."

Minutes of the General Assembly.

MAY 16th, 1805.

THE General Assembly of the Prefbyterian Church in the United States of America, met, agreeably to appointment, in the first Prefbyterian Church in the city of Philadelphia, at eleven o'clock, A. M. and was opened by the Rev. James F. Armftrong, the Moderator of last Assembly, with a fermon from John xiv. 16.

"And I will pray the father, and he shall give you another comforter, that he may abide with you forever.”

After prayer, the commiffions were read, and it appeared, that the following minifters and elders, were duly appointed, and attended as commiffioners to this Affembly; viz.

Of the Prefbytery of Oneida;

The Revd. Ifaac Lewis.

Of the Prefbytery of Columbia;

The Revd. Robert H. Chapman, and Mr. Edward Savage, elder, Of the Prefbytery of Albany;

The Revd. John B. Romeynes

Of the Prefbytery of Hudson;

The Revd. Andrew King and*
Methuselah Baldwin.*

Of the Prefbytery of New York;

The Revd. Dr. John Rodgers,
