TRIBUTE OF PRAISE. 7s & 6s.

(New.)

1. We bring no glittering trea-sures, No gems from earth's deep mine; We come, with simple

measures, To chant thy love divine. O Lord, thy fa-vors sharing, Our voice of thanks we

raise; Father, accept our offering, Our song of grateful praise, Our song of grateful praise.

2. The dearest gift of heaven, Love's written word of truth,

To us is early given,

To guide our steps in youth.
We hear the wondrous story,
The tale of Calvary;
We read of homes in glory,
From sin and sorrow free.

Tribute of Praise.

3. Saviour, bestow thy blessing;
Oh, teach us how to pray;
That each, thy fear possessing,
May tread life's onward way.
Then, where the pure are dwelling,
We'll hope to meet again;
And, sweeter numbers swelling,
We'll join to praise thy name.

HYMNS TO THE TUNE "WOODWORTH."

6. Just as I am, thy love, I own,

6

Has broken every barrier down;
Now to be thine, and thine alone,

O Lamb of God! I come!

Mourning with Submission.
1. THE God of love will sure indulge
The flowing tear, the heaving sigh,
When his own children fall around,-

When tender friends and kindred die.
2. Yet not one anxious, murmuring thought
Should with our mourning passions blend;
Nor would our bleeding hearts forget
Th' almighty, ever-living Friend.
Beneath a numerous train of ills,

Our feeble flesh and heart may fail;
Yet shall our hope in thee, our God,
O'er every gloomy fear prevail.
4. Our Father God! to thee we look,
Our Rock, our Portion and our Friend;
And on thy covenant love and truth,
Our sinking souls shall still depend.

2. "T is there I'm always taught to pray
That God would bless me day by day;
And safely guard, and guide me still,
And help me to obey his will.

3. "T is there I sing a Saviour's love,

Which brought him from his throne above,
And made him suffer, bleed, and die,
For sinful creatures, such as I.

4. From all the lessons I obtain,
May I a store of knowledge gain;
And early seek my Saviour's face,
And gain from him supplies of grace.
5. And then, through life's remaining days,
I'll love to sing my Saviour's praise;
And bless the kindness and the grace,
That brought me to this sacred place.

The Cross of Christ.

1. WHEN I survey the wondrous cross On which the Prince of glory died, My richest gain I count but loss, And pour contempt on all my pride. 2. See from his head, his hands, his feet, Sorrow and love flow mingled down; Did e'er such love and sorrow meet,

Or thorns compose so rich a crown? 3. Were the whole realm of nature mine, That were a present far too small; Love so amazing, so divine,

Demands my soul, my life, my all

2. How kind is Jesus, O how good!
'Twas for my soul he shed his blood;
For children's sake he was reviled,
For Jesus loves a little child.

3. When I offend, by thought or tongue,
Omit the right, or do the wrong;
If I repent, he's reconciled,
For Jesus loves a little child.

4. To me may Jesus now impart,
Although so young, a gracious heart;
Alas! I'm oft by sin defiled,
Yet Jesus loves a little child.

The Lambs of Jesus.

1. THE lambs of Jesus-who are they,
But children that believe and pray?
That keep God's laws and ask his grace,
And seek a heavenly dwelling-place!

2. The lambs of Jesus! they are meek,
The words of peace and truth they speak;
To all God's creatures they are kind,
And, like their Lord, of gentle mind.
3. The lambs of J sus! oh! that we
Might of that blessed number be!
Lord! take us early to thy love,
And lead us to the fold above.
