Ver. 19. The earnest Expectation of the Creature waiteth for the Manifeftation of the Son of God.

Because the Creature shall be delivered from the Bondage of Corruption into the glorious Liberty of the Children of God.

Ver. 23. We ourselves who have the Firft-fruits of the Spirit, we groan within ourselves, waiting for the Adoption, to wit, the Redemption of our Body.

XV. xii. How fay fome of you, that there is no Refurrection of the Dead, 2 Tim. 2. 17, 18.

Ver. 13. If there be no Refurrection of the Dead, then is Christ not rifen.

Ver. 14. And if Chrift be not rifen, then is your preaching vain, and your Faith is alfo vain.

Ver. 20. But now is Chrift rifen from the Dead, and become the Firft-fruits of them that flept.

Ver. 21. Since by Man came Death, by Man came also the Refurrection of the Dead.

Ver. 22. For as in Adam all die, even fo in Christ shall all be made alive.

Ver. 23. But every Man in his own Order, Chrift the Firft-fruits, and afterward they that are Chrift's at his Coming. Col. 1. 18.

Ver. 35. Some Men will fay, how are the Dead raised, and with what Bodies do they come ?

Ver. 38. God giveth a Body as it pleaseth him.

Ver. 42. So alfo is the Refurrection of the Dead, it is fown in Corruption, it is raifed in Incorruption.

Ver. 43. It is fown in Difhonour, it is raised in Glory, it is fown in Weakness, it is raised in Power.

Ver. 44. It is fown a natural Body, it is raised a spiritual Body.
Ver. 52. The Dead fhall be raised incorruptible.

Ver. 53. For this Corruptible must put on Incorruption, and this Mortal muft put on Immortality.

Ver. 54 Then fhall be brought to pafs the Saying that is written, Death is fwallowed up in Victory. Ifa. 25. 7, 8.-26. 19. Hof. 13.

2 Cor. iv. 14. He that raised up the Lord Jefus fhall raise up us alfo by Jefus, and fhall prefent us with you.

v. I. We know that if our earthly Houfe of this Tabernacle were diffolved, we have a Building of God, an House not made with Hands, eternal in the Heavens.

Ver. 2. For in this we groan earneftly, defiring to be clothed upon. with our Houfe which is from Heaven.

2 Cor. v. 3. If fo be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. Ver. 4. For we that are in this Tabernacle do groan being burdened, not for that we would be unclothed but clothed upon, that Mortality might be swallowed up of Life.

Eph. iv. 30. By the holy Spirit of God ye are fealed unto the Day of Redemption.

1 Theff. iv. 14. If we believe that Jefus died and rofe again, even fo them that fleep in Jefus will God bring with him.

Ver. 15. For this we fay unto you by the Word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the Coming of the Lord, fhall not prevent them which are asleep.

Ver. 16. For the Lord himself shall defcend from Heaven with a Shout, with the Voice of the Archangel and with the Trumpet of God, and the Dead in Christ shall rife first.

Ver. 17. Then we which are alive and remain fhall be caught up together with them in the Clouds to meet the Lord in the Air, fo fhall we ever be with the Lord.

Heb. xi. 19. Abraham accounted that God was able to raise Ifaac from the Dead.

Ver. 35. Others were tortured, not accepting Deliverance, that they might obtain a better Refurrection.

Rev. xx. 6. Bleffed and holy is he that hath Part in the firft Refur rection, on such the fecond Death hath no Power, but they fhall be Priefts of God and of Chrift, and shall reign with him a thoufand

Of a Future Judgment.

Fa future Judgment, and its Consequences. Acts xxiv. 25. Paul

Ο reafoned of Righteoufnefs, Temperance, and Judgment to

come, Fœlix trembled.

Heb, vi. 1. Let us go on toward Perfection.

Ver. 2. Not laying again the Foundation of the Resurrection of the Dead and of eternal Judgment.

ix. 27. It is appointed unto all Men once to die, but after this the Judgment.

2. God is Judge. See Chrift fhall judge the World. Pf. 1. 6. God is Judge-The Judge of all the Earth, Gen. 18. 25.

xcvi. 13. He cometh to judge the Earth. He fhall judge the World with Righteousness, and the People with his Truth, Ver. 10. Pf. 58. 11.-98.8.

Acts xvii. 31. He hath appointed a Day wherein he will judge the World in Righteoufnets.

Rom. ii. 2. The Judgment of God is according to Truth, Ch 3.5.

Ver. 12. And I faw the Dead, finall and great, ftand before God, and the Books were opened; and another Book was opened which is the Book of Life: And the Dead were judged out of thofe Things which were written in the Books according to their Works.

3. The Perfons and Thins that shall be judged. Eccl. iii. 17. God shall judge the Righteous and the Wicked.

xi. 9. Rejoice, O young Man, in thy Youth, and let thy Heart cheer thee in the Days of thy Youth, and walk in the Ways of thine Heart, and in the Sight of thine Eyes, but know that, for all these Things God will bring thee into Judgment.

xii. 14. God will bring every Work into Judgment, with every fecret Thing whether it be Good or whether it be Evil. Rom. 2. 16. God fhall judge the Secrets of Men.

Matt. xii. 36. Every idle Word that Men shall speak, they shall give. Account thereof in the Day of Judgment. Ver. 37.

Rom. xiv. 12. Every one fhall give Account of himself to God.

1 Cor. iii. 14. Every Man's Work fhall be made manifeft.

Heb. xlii. 17. Ministers Watch for your Souls as they that must give Account.

Ver. 17. Judgment muft begin at the Houfe of God.

4. When the Day of Judgment hall be. Mark xiii. 24. The Sun shall be darkened, and the Moon fhall not give her Light.

Ver. 25. And the Stars of Heaven fhall fall, and the Powers that are in Heaven fhall be fhaken.

Ver. 26. And then shall they fee the Son of Man coming in the Clouds with great Power and Glory."

Ver. 32. But of that Day and Hour knoweth no Man, no, not the Angels which are in Heaven, neither the Son but the Father. Matt. 24. 29. to 44.

5. Ufes to be made of the Doctrine of a future Judgment, and its Confequences; for encouraging Stedfaftness and Perfeverance in fundry Graces and Duties of the Christian Life. Luke xxi. 34. Luke xxi.35. For as a Snare fhall it come on all them that dwell on the Face of the Earth.

Acts xvii. 30. The Times of Ignorance God winked at, but now commandeth all Men every where to repent.

Ver. 31. Becaufe he hath appointed a Day wherein he will judge the World in Righteoufnefs by Jefus Chrift.

Col. iii. 4. When Chrift who is our Life shall appear, then shall ye appear with him in Glory.

Col. iii. 5. Mortify therefore your Members which are upon the Earth, Fornication, Uncleannefs,, inordinate Affection, evil Concupifcence, and Covetoufnefs, which is Idolatry.

Ver 8. Alfo put off Anger, Wrath, Malice, Blafphemy, filthy Communications out of your Mouth.

Ver. 9. Lie not.

Ver. 24. Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the Reward of the Inheritance.

1 Theff. ii. 19. We who are Minifters, what is our Hope or Joy or Crown of Rejoicing? Are not even ye in the Presence of our Lord Jefus Chrift at his coming?

iii. 12. The Lord make you to encrease and abound in Love one toward another, and toward all Men.

Ver. 13. To the End he may stablish your Hearts unblameable in Holiness before Ged even our Father, at the Coming of our Lord Jesus Chrift with all his Saints.

iv. 17. We shall be caught up in the Clouds to meet the Lord in the Air, fo fhall we be ever with the Lord.

Ver. 18. Wherefore comfort one another with thefe Words.

v. 2. The Day of the Lord cometh as a Thief in the Night. 2 Pet. 3. 10..

Ver. 4. But ye, Brethren, are not in Darkness, that that Day should overtake you as a Thief.

Ver. 6. Therefore let us not fleep as do others, but let us watch

and be fober.

I Theff. v. 8. Putting on the Breaft-plate of Faith, and Love, and for an Helmet the hope of Salvation.

2 Theff. ii. 1. We befeech you Brethren by the Coming of our Lord Jefus Chrift, and by our Gathering together unto him.

Ver. 2. That ye be not foon fhaken in Mind.

1 Tim. vi. 14. Keep this Commandment without Spot, unrebukeable until the Coming of our Lord Jefus Chrift. See Obedience to Christ. Tit. ii. 12. Denying Ungodlinefs and worldly Lufts, we fhould live foberly, righteously and godly, in this prefent World.

James v. 7. Be patient, Brethren, unto the Coming of the Lord. Ver. 8. Stablish your Hearts for the Coming of the Lord draweth nigh

Pet i. 7: That the Trial of your Faith, being much more precious than that of Gold that perifheth, though it be tried by Fire, might be found unto Praise and Honour and Glory at the Appearing of Jesus Chrift.

Ver. 9. Ye receiving the end of your Faith, the Salvation of your Souls.

Ver. 13. Gird up the Loins of your Mind, be fober and hope to the End, for the Grace that shall be brought to you at the Revelation of Jefus Chritt,

Ver. 14. As obedient Children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former Lufts in your Ignorance.

Ver. 15. But as he which hath called you is holy, fo be ye holy in all Manner of Converfation.

1 Pet. iv. 7. The End of all Things is at Hand, be ye therefore sober and watch unto Prayer,

Ver. 13. Rejoice, in as much as ye are Partakers of Chrift's Sufferings, that when his Glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding Joy.

2 Pet. iii. 11. Seeing then that all thefe Things fhall be diffolved, what Manner of Perfons ought ye to be in all holy Converfation and Godlinefs.

Ver. 12. Looking for and Hafting to the Coming of the Day of God, when the Heavens being on Fire fhall be diffolved, and the Elements fhall melt with fervent Heat. Ver. 13. 14.

1 John ii. 8. Little Children, abide in Chrift, that when he fhall appear ye may have Confidence, and not be ashamed at his Coming.

iv. 17. Herein is our Love made perfect, that we may have Boldness in the Day of Judgment.

Rev. xiv. 7. Fear God and give Glory to him, for the Hour of his Judgment is come, and worship him that made Heaven and Earth and the Fountains of Waters.

6. The Diffolution of the Heavens and the Earth. Pf. cii. 25. The Heavens are the Work of thine Hands.

Ver. 26. They shall perish but thou fhalt endure, yea all of them shall wax old like a Garment, and as a Vesture fhalt thou, (Chrift, Heb. 1. 10, 11, 12.) change them and they fhall be changed.

2 Pet. iii 7. The Heavens and the Earth which are now are kept in Store, referved unto Fire, against the Day of Judgment and Perdition of ungodly Men.

Ver. 10. The Heavens fhall pass away with a great Noise, and the Elements fhall melt with fervent Heat, the Earth alfo and the Works that are therein fhall be burnt up. Ver. 12.

Ver. 13. Nevertheless we according to his Promife look for new Heavens and a new Earth, wherein dwelleth Righteousness. See Rev. 6. 14. Ifa. 34. 24.51.6-65: 17.-66. 22.
