Children among the promised Bleffings.

75. Children are among the promised Bleffings of God to Mankind. Gen. i. 21. God bleffed Adam and Eve, and faid unto them be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the Earth.

viii. 15. God fpake unto Noah, faying, Ch. 16. Go forth of the Ark, thou and thy Wife and thy Sons and thy Sons Wives with thee. Ver. 17. And be fruitful and multiply upon the Earth. Ch. 9.1. 7. xiii. 14. The Lord faid unto Abraham, Ch. 16. I will make thy Seed as the Dutt of the Earth, so that if a Man can number the Duft of the Earth, then shall thy Seed also be numbered. Ch. 22. 16. 17.

xv. 5. The Lord faid to Abram, look toward Heaven and tell the Stars if thou be able to number them, and he said unto him, so shall thy Seed be.

xvii. 1. The Lord appeared unto Abram, and faid unto him,

Gen. xi. 30. Sarah Abram's Wife was barren. Ch. 16. 1, 2, 3. She gave her Handmaid to Abram, and said, it may be that I may obtain Children by her.

xv. 2. Abram said, Lord, what wilt thou give me feeing I go childlefs, to me thou hatt given no Seed.

xviii. 10. The Angel faid Sarah fhall have a Son. Ch. 17. 19.—21.2. Gen. xviii. 12. Sarah heard it and laughed.

xxiv. 60. They bleffed Rebekah and said, be thou the Mother of houfands and of Millions.

XXV. 21. Ifaac intreated the Lord for his Wife, because she was barren, and the Lord was intreated of him, and Rebekah his Wife conceived.
