Heb. vi. 1. Let us go on toward Perfection, not laying again the Foundation of Repentance, and of Faith toward God.

xi. 6. Without Faith it is impoffible to please God, for he that cometh to God muft believe that he is, and that he is a Rewarder of them that diligently feek him.

9. Faith in Chrift. John vi. 29. Jefus faid, this is the Work of God, ye believe on him whom he hath fent.

11. Confeffing Chrift; Promises. Matt x. 32. Whofoever fhall confefs me before Men, him will I confefs before my Father, which is in Heaven.

Rom. x. 9. If thou shalt confefs with thy Mouth, the Lord Jefus, and fhalt believe in thine Heart, that God raised him from the Dead, thou shalt be faved.

Ver. 10. For with the Heart Man believeth unto Righteousness, and with the Mouth Confeffion is made unto Salvation.

1 John iv. 15. Whofoever fhall confefs that Jefus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him and he in him.

12. Denying Chrift; Threats, Matt. x. 33. Who foever fhall deny me before Men, him will I alfo deny before my Father which is in Heaven. Luke xii. 9. He that denieth me before Men, shall be denied before the Angels of God.

13. The Certainty and Affurance of Faith. Luke i. 1. Many have taken in Hand to fet forth a Declaration of those Things which are most surely believed among us.

Ver. 4. It feemed good to me also, that thou mightest know the Certainty of thofe Things wherein thou hafl been instructed.

John iv. 22. We have heard ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Chrift, the Saviour of the World.

vi. 69. We believe and are fure that thou art Chrift the Son of the living God.

xvi. 30. Now are we fure that thou knoweft all Things, by

this we believe that thou cameft forth from God.

xvii. 8. Jefus faid, they have known furely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst fend me. Ch. 16. 27. Acts i. 36. Let all the Houfe of Ifrael know affuredly, that God hath made that fame Jefus, both Lord and Chrift.

Ver. 20. He staggered not at the Promife of God through Unbelief, but was ftrong in Faith, giving Glory to God.

Ver. 22. And therefore it was imputed to him for Righteousness. 1 Cor. xvi. 13. Watch ye, ftand faft in the Faith, quit you like Men, be strong.

iii. 10. Thou haft fully known my Doctrine, Manner of Life, Purpofe, Faith, Long-fuffering, Charity, Patience.

Ver. 14. Continue in the Things thou haft learned.

Ver. 17. Be perfect, thoroughly furnished to all good Works.

Tit. i. 1. The Faith of God's Elect, and the Acknowledgement of the Truth which is after Godliness.

ii. 1. Speak thou the Things that become found Doctrine.

Ver. 2. That the aged Men may be fober, grave, temperate, found in the Faith, in Charity and Patience.

iii. 8. This is a faithful Saying, and thefe Things I will that thou

affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God, might be careful to maintain good Works, Ver. 14.

Heb. vi. 12. Be ye Followers of them, who through Faith and Patience inherit the Promises.

James ii. 14. What doth it profit, my Brethren, though a Man say he have Faith, and have not Works? Can Faith fave him?

Ver. 17. Faith if it hath not Works is dead, being alone.

Ver. 20. Know, O vain Man, that Faith without Works is dead. Ver. 26. As the Body without the Spirit is dead, fo Faith without Works is dead alfo. See Ver. 22. 24.

2 Pet. i. 5, 6, 7. Add to your Faith, Virtue, Knowledge, Temperance, Patience, Godliness, brotherly Kindness, and Charity.

1 John iii. 23. This is God's Commandment, that we should believe on the Name of his Son Jefus Chrift and love one another.

Jude 20. Ye, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy Faith, praying in the Holy Ghoft.

Ver. 21. Keep yourselves in the Love of God, looking for the Mercy of our Lord Jefus Chrift, to eternal Life.

Rev, ii. 19. I know thy Works, and Charity, and Service and Faith, and thy Patience, and thy Works, and the Laft to be more than the First.

Ver. 17. Jefus anfwered and faid unto him, bleffed art thou, Simon Barjonah, for Flesh and Blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in Heaven.

John i. 13. They that believed on his Name were born not of Blood, nor of the Will of the Flesh, nor of the Will of Man, but of God. 1 John 4. 14, 15.—5. 1.

Acts xiii. 48. As many as were ordained to eternal Life, believed. xiv. 27. God opened a Door of Faith to the Gentiles.

Rom. xii. 3. Think foberly, as God hath dealt to every Man, the Measure of Faith.

1 Cor. ii. 5. Your Faith should not ftand but in the Power of God. Eph. ii. 8. By Grace ye are faved through Faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the Gift of God,

Phil. i. 29. Unto you it is given on the Behalf of Chrift, not only to believe on his Name, but also to suffer for his Name.

16. God being the Author of Faith, he is prayed to and thanked for Faith, as his Gift. Rom. xv. 3. The God of Hope, fill you with all Joy and Peace in believing.

Eph. i. 15. After I heard of your Faith in the Lord Jefus Chrift and Love to all the Saints, I cease not to give Thanks for you, making Mention of you in my Prayers, Col. 1. 3, 4. Philem. Ver. 5. Eph. vi. 23. Peace be to the Brethren and Love with Faith from God the Father and the Lord Jefus Chrift.
