Chrift often promised he should rife on the third Day, which answers to his not feeing Corruption, in the foregoing Texts. See Matt. 16. 21.-20. 18. Mark 8. 31.

40. Chrift feems to reft the Credit of all his Pretenfions on this Event, of his rifing from the Dead.

Matt. xvi. 16. Peter faid unto him, thou art Chrift, the Son of the living God.

Ver. 20. He charged his Difciples that they fhould tell no Man, that he was Jefus, the Chrift. (Mark 9. 10.) till the Son of Man were rifen from the Dead.

John v. 36. The Works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath fent me, Ch. 9. 4.-10. 25.

x. 37. If I do not the Works of my Father believe me not.

Ver. 38. Tho' ye believe not me,believe the Works, that ye may know and believe that the Father is in me and I in him, Ch. 14. II.

xv. 24. If I had not done among them the Works which none other Man did, they had not had Sin.

v. 50. Except ye fee Signs and Wonders ye will not believe.

xx. 30. Many other Signs did Jefus, which are not written ; but thefe are written that ye may believe.

Ver. 24. And they brought unto him, all fick People, that were taken with divers Diseases and Torments, and those which were poffeffed with Devils, and those which were lunatick, and those which had the Palfie, and he healed them.

The Effect thereof was. Ver. 24, 25.

His Fame spread abroad, and there followed him great Multitudes. xi. 5. The Blind receive their Sight, the Lame walk, the Deaf hear, the Dead are raised up, Ifa. 35. 6.

XV. 29. Great Multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and he healed them.

Effect. Ver. 31. They wondred and glorified God

52. Devils caft out by Chrift. Matt. viii. 16. He caft out the Spirits with his Word, Mark 1. 32, 33. Luke 4. 40.

Ver. 28. Out of two Men he cafts Devils, who enter into the Swine. Ver. 31. Mark Luke 8. 25. 29. 5. 1. 15.

Matt. viii. 28. Effect. The People were taken with

great Fear. ix. 32. He cafts a Devil out of a dumb Man, who then fpake. Effect. The People marvelled, faying, it was never so seen in Israel. Matt. xii. 22. He cafts a Devil out of a Man, blind and dumb, who then both speak and faw, Luke 11. 14.

Effect. Ver. 23. The People were amazed, and faid, is not this the Son of David?

XV. 22. He caft a Devil out of the Daughter of a Woman of Canaan, Mark 7. 24. He commended her Faith.

xvii. 15. Cafts a Devil out of a Child that was Lunatick, and fore vexed with a Devil, Mark 9. 21. Luke 9. 43.

Effect. The People were all amazed at the mighty Power of God. The Father of the Child faid, I believe, help thou mine Unbelief. Mark. i. 23. Chrift cafts out an unclean Spirit, Luke 4. 36. Effect. Ver. 27, 28. The People were amazed, and his Fame fpread abroad.

Ver. 34. He cafts out many Devils.
