Ver. 25. Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the Commandment to restore and build Jerufalem, unto the Meffiah the Prince, fhall be seven Weeks; and threescore and two Weeks, the Street shall be built again, and the Wall, even in troublesome Times.

Ver, 26. And after threefcore and two Weeks fhall the Meffiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the People of the Prince that fhall come, fhall destroy the City and the Sanctuary, and the End thereof shall be with a Flood, and unto the End of the War, Defolations are determined.

Hag. ii. 7. The Defire of all Nations fhall come, and I will fill this Houfe (viz. the Temple) with my Glory.

Ver. 9. The Glory of this latter Houfe, fhall be greater than that of the former Houfe.

The only Glory it had above the former, but was in other Respects inferior to it (Ezra 3. 12.) this fixes the coming of Chrift while the Temple was ftanding.

6. The Country and Town where Chrift should be born.

Mic. v. 2. Thou Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thoufands of Judah, yet out of thee fhall he come forth unto me, that is to be Ruler in Ifrael.-Fulfilled.

Matt. ii. 1. Jefus was born in Bethlehem. Luke 24. 6. 7.

John vii. 42. Chrift cometh of the Seed of David, and out of the Town of Bethlehem where David was.

7. Of his Forerunner John Baptift. Ifa. xl. 3. The Voice of him that crieth in the Wilderness, prepare ye the way of the Lord.

Mal. iii. 1. I will fend my Meffenger, and he fhall prepare my Way

before me.

iv. 5. I will fend you Elijah the Prophet.-Fulfilled.

Matt. iii. 1. In those Days came John the Baptift, preaching in th Wilderness of Judea, faying, repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is a Hand. Luke 1. 17.

10. That the Spirit of the Lord fhould be upon him. Ifa. xi. 2. The Spirit of the Lord fhall reft upon him, the Spirit of Wisdom and Underftanding, &c. Ver. 3.

Ixi. i. The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach.

Pf. xlv. 7. God hath anointed thee with the Oyl of Gladness, above thy Fellows.-Fulfilled.

Matt. iii. 16. He faw the Spirit of God descending like a Dove, and lighting upon him, John i. 33.

John iii. 34. God giveth not the Spirit by Measure unto him.

11. That he jhould be a Prophet. Deut. xviii. 15. The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet, unto him shall ye hearken. Ver. 18. Heb. i. 1. 12. That he should preach or teach. Pf. xl. 9. I have preached Righteoufness in the great Congregation.

Isa. lxi. 1. He hath anointed me to preach good Tidings unto the Meek. See Ifa. 11, 2, 3, 4.—2. 3. Mic. 4. 2.

21. Should be Sold for Money. Zech. xi. 12. They weighed for my Price thirty Pieces of Silver, a goodly Price that I was prised at of them.

25. That Chrift fhould be forfaken. Zech. xiii. 7. Awake, O Sword, againft my Shepherd, and against the Man that is my Fellow, faith the Lord of Hofts, fmite the Shepherd, and the Sheep fhall be scattered. The fame thus expreffed by Christ.

Matt. xxvi. 31. All ye fhall be offended because of me this Night. Mar. 14. 27. John 16. 32.-Fulfilled.

26. Peter's denying him. Matt xxvi. 34. Peter thou shalt deny me. Ver. 70. Peter deny'd.
