And when-heheard that it-was Jesus of Nazareth, he-began to-cry-out, and say, Jesus,

And many

And, behold, there was a-man named Zaccheus, which was thechief-among-the-publicans, and 3 he was rich. And he-sought to see Jesus who he-was; and could not for the press, because he-was 4 little of stature. And he ran before, and-climbed-up into asycamore-tree to see him: for he5 was to-pass that way. And when

Jesus came to the place, he-looked
-up, and-saw him, and said unto
him, Zaccheus, make-haste, (σEU-

I must abide at thy house. And 6
he-made-haste, and-came-down,

And as-they heard these-things, he-added and-spake a-parable, because he was nigh to-Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of-God should (μEXE) immediately appear. (avapaivεolai.) He said therefore, 12 A-certain nobleman(ɛvyɛvŋc) went into a-far country to-receive forhimself a-kingdom, and to-return. 13 And he-called his ten servants, and-delivered them ten pounds, & said unto them, Occupy (IIpay14 μarevoαoot) till I-come. But his citizens hated him, and sent amessage after him, saying, Wewill not have this man to-reign 15 over us. And it came - to - pass, that when he was-returned, having -received the kingdom, then hecommanded these servants to-becalled unto-him, to-whom he-hadgiven the money, that he-mightknow how-much every-man hadgained - by - trading. (dieπpayμa16 TEVOaTO.) Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hathgained(poopyacaro) ten pounds.

And he-said unto-him,Well, thou- 17 good servant: because thou-hastbeen faithful in a-very-little, have thou authority(100i εžovσiav exwv) over ten cities. And the second 18 came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath-gained (Eoinσε) five pounds. And he-said likewise to-him, Be 19 thou also over five cities. And 20 another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which Ihave-kept (exov) laid-up in a-napkin: for I-feared thee, because 21 thou-art an-austere man: thou takest-up that thou-layedst notdown, and reapest that thou-didst -not sow. And he-saith unto-him, 22 Out-of thine-own mouth will-Ijudge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was anaustere man, taking-up that I-laid not-down, and reaping that I-didnot sow: wherefore then gavest 23 not-thou my money into the bank, (трanεlav) that at-my coming Imight have - required (eρаžα) mine-own with usury? JOHN xi. 55.—xii. 1.

(ch. xi. 54, § XXIV.)

And the Jews' passover was 55 nigh-at-hand: and many went out-of the country-up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves. Then sought-they 56 for-Jesus, and spake among themselves, as-they-stood in the temple, What think ye, that he-will-not come to the feast? Now both the 57 chief-priests and the Pharisees had-given a-commandment, that, if any-man knew where he-were, he-should-shew it, that they might-take him.

THEN Jesus six days before 1 (προ ἓξ ἡμερων) the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had-been-dead, whom heraised from the-dead.
