z Let him that flole steal no more; but rather let him labour, working with his Hands the Thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

Trespass and
Damage.

a Remove not the ancient Landmarks, which thy Fathers have set. For curfed is he that removeth his Neighbour's Land-mark.

If a Man fhall caufe a Field or Vineyard to be eaten, and fhall put in his Beaft, and fhall feed in another Man's Field; of the best of his own Field, and of the best of his own Vineyard, fhall he make Reftitution.

He that killeth a Beaft fhall make it good; Beaft for Beast.

If a Fire break out, so that the Corn be confumed therewith, he that kindled the Fire fhall furely make Reftitution.

If a Man borrow ought of his Neighbour, and it be hurt or die, the Owner thereof being not with it, he thall furely make it good: But if the Owner thereof be with it, he fhall not make it good. If it be an hired Thing, it came for its Hire.

f For all manner of Trespass, whether it be for Ox, for Afs, for Sheep, for Raiment; or for any manner of loft Thing, which another challengeth to be his; the Caufe of both Parties fhall come before the Judges, and whom the Judges fhall condemn, he thall pray double unto his Neighbour.

He that oppreffeth the Poor to increase his Riches, thall furely come to Want.

Wo unto them that have made difhoneft Gain by Ufury and Increafe, and have greedily gained of their Neighbours by Extortion, or by the Iniquity of their Traffic.

"He that by Ufury and unjust Gain increases his Subftance, fhall gather it for them that will pity the Poor.

The Wicked borroweth, and payeth not again; he fpoileth by Violence, and restoreth not the Pledge.

He that withholdeth Corn, the People fhall curfe him; but Bleffing fhall be upon the Head of him that felleth it.
