Repent ye the fore, and be baptized, every one of you, in the Name of Jefus Chrift, for the Remiffion of Sins.

f If thou believeft with all thine Heart, thou mayest be baptized.

Jefus faid, Suffer little Children to come unto me, and forbid them not; for of such is the Kingdom of God. And he put his Hands upon them, and bleffed them.

h We are all baptized into one Body.

i As many as have been baptized into Chrift, have put on Christ.

So many of us as were baptized into Jefus Chrift, were baptized into his Death. Therefore we are buried with him by Baptifm into Death; that like as Chrift was raised up from the Dead by the Glory of the Father, even fo we alfo fhould walk in Newnefs of Life. For he that is dead is freed from Sin.

Baptifm doth now fave us, (not the putting away the Filth of the Flesh, but the Anfwer of a good Confcience towards God) by the Resurrection of Jefus Chrift.

m After that the Kindness and Love of God our Saviour toward Man appeared; not by Works of Righteoufnefs which we have done, but according to his Mercy he faved us, by the Washing of Regeneration, and Renewing of the Holy Ghost. a The Lord Jefus the fame Night The Lord's Supper. in which he was betrayed, took

Bread,

Bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to his Difciples, faying: Take, eat, this is my Body, which is given for you; this do in Remembrance

of me.

After the fame Manner also he took the Cup, and gave Thanks, and gave it to them, faying, Drink ye all of it; for this is my Blood of the New Teftament, which is fhed for you and for many, for the Remiffion of Sins: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in Remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this Bread, and drink this Cup, ye do fhew the Lord's Death till he come.

Jefus faid unto the Jews, I am the living Bread, which came down from Heaven. If any Man eat of this Bread, he thall live for ever; and the Bread that I will give is my Flefh, which I will give for the Life of the World. Except therefore ye eat the Flesh of the Son of Man, and drink his Blood, ye have no Life in you. Whofo eateth my Flesh, and drinketh my Blood, hath eternal Life; for my Flesh is Meat indeed, and my Blood is Drink indeed. He that eateth my Fleth, and drinketh my Blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. The Words that I fpeak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are Life. It is the Spirit that quickeneth, the Flesh profiteth nothing.

P The Cup of Bleffing which we blefs, (faith St. Paul) is it not the Communion of the Blood of Chrift? And the Bread which we break, is it not the Communion of the Body of Chrift? For we being many, are one Bread and one Body; for we are all Partakers of that one Bread.

What shall I render unto the Lord, for all his Benefits towards me? I will take the Cup. of Salvation, and call upon the Name of the Lord. I will pay my Vows unto the Lord, in the Prefence of all his People.

Whofoever fhall eat this Bread, and drink this Cup of the Lord unworthily, fhall be guilty of the Body and Blood of the Lord.

Let a Man examine himself, and fo let him eat of that Bread, and drink of that Cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh Damnation to himself, not difcerning the Lord's Body.

Offer not polluted Bread upon his Alta" neither fay, The Table of the Lord is contemptible.

HOLY DAYS, FEASTS, and FASTS.

To every Thing there is a Seafon, Holy Days. and a Time to every Purpose under the Heaven.

In fix Days the Lord made Heaven and Earth, the Sea, and all that in them is, and refted the feventh Day; wherefore the Lord bleffed the feventh Day, and hallowed it.

x

Upon the first Day of the Week the Difciples of Chrift came together, to break Bread, and to hear the Word preached.

There is a Day of Feafting and Gladness; and a Day for a Man to afflict his Soul.

* Thou shalt honour the Lord on his holy Day; not doing thine own Ways, nor finding thine own Pleasure, nor fpeaking thine own Words.

* Turn not again to the weak and beggarly Elements of the World, by obferving thofe Days, and Months, and Times, and Years, which the Jews obferved.

One Man eftcemeth one Day above another; another efteemeth every Day alike. Let every Man be fully perfuaded in his own Mind. But he that regardeth a Day, let him regard it unto the Lord.

Six Days thou fhalt do thy Work, and on the seventh Day thou fhalt reft; that thine Ox and thine Afs may reft, and the Son of thy Handmaid, and the Stranger may be refreshed.

d Upon the first Day of the Week, which is called the Lord's Day, let every one of you lay by him in ftore as God hath profpered him.

• Thon fhalt rejoice before the Lord thy Feafts. God; thou, and thy Son, and thy Daughter, and thy Man-fervant and thy Maid-fervant; and the Levite, the Stranger, the Fatherlefs, and the Widow, that are among you.

f Thou fhalt rejoice before the Lord thy God, in all that thou putteft thine Hand unto,

What will ye do in the Solemn Day, and in the Day of the Feast of the Lord? It is a Day of Gladness, and Feasting, and a good Day; a Day of Joy, and of fending Portions one to another, and Gifts to the Poor.

A Chrift our Passover is sacrificed for us; therefore let us keep the Feaft, not with old Leaven, neither with the Leaven of Malice and Wicked. nefs, but with the unleavened Bread of Sincerity and Truth. This is the Day which the Lord hath made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.

i When thou makeft a Feaft, call the Poor, the Maimed, the Lame, the Blind, and thou fhalt be bleffed: For they cannot recompence thee; but thou shalt be recompenfed at the Resurrection of the Juft.

* Let there be no Spots in your Feafts of Charity. Let us humble our Souls with Fafting, Fafts.

and afflict ourselves before our God, to seek of him a right Way for us.

The Day of the Lord is very terrible. Therefore now faith the Lord, Turn ye to me with all your Heart, and with Fafting, and with Weeping, and with Mourning.

" When ye faft, be not as the Hypocrites, of a fad Countenance; for they disfigure their Faces, that they may appear unto Men to faft: But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thy Head, and wash thy Face, that thou appear not unto Men to fast, but
