If by hostility to yourself, you mean a difference in opinion from you on certain subjects connected with our church, I must with several of our Bishops, and many of the Clergy, plead guilty to the charge; but if you intend personal enmity, I am utterly unconscious of having harboured in my breast any unfriendly feelings towards you as an ih dividual, nor had I until the appearance of your Reply, reason to sus pect that I was the subject of such feelings in your own.
