23 And he gave Joshua the son of Nun a charge, and said, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou shalt bring the children of Israel into the land which I sware unto them: and I will be with thee.

24 T And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,

25 That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, saying,

26 Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there ƒ for a witness against thee.

27 For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious g against the LORD; and how much more after my death?

28 Gather h unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and i call heaven and earth to record against them.

29 For I know that after my death ye will utterly corrupt k yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil! will befall you in the latter days; because ye will do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands. 30 And Moses spake in the ears of all the congregation of Israel the words of this song, until they were ended. 1 Moses from mount Nebo vieweth the land: 5 He dieth there: 6 His burial: 7 His age.

AND Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of 1 Pisgah, that is over against Jericho and the LORD shewed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan,

2 And all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the utmost sea, 3 And the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm-trees, unto Zoar.

4 And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I sware a unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but b thou shalt not go over thither.

5 So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.

6 And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Beth-peor: but c no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.

7

And Moses was an hundred

and twenty years old when he died: his d eye was not dim, nor his 2 natural force abated.

8 And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty e days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.

9 And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit f of wisdom; for Moses g had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses.

10 T And there arose not a prophet since in Israel h like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face, 11 In all the signs i and the wonders which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land;

12 And in all that mighty k hand, and in all the great terror which Moses shewed in the sight of all Israel.
